Slim Cary wrote:Why do you people ask these stupid ass questions, like he is new to rap or underrated.

He's one of the biggest names in music. Of course when his album drops it will be huge. We are talking about someone that has sold over 80 million.

When's the last time you heard about Eminem? When's the last time you flipped on a music channel and heard an Eminem song? Or how about turning on the radio and hearing an Eminem song?

This whole thing he has going on where he pokes his head out every five years and drops ONE album isn't doing well for him. His biggest and most important audience - teenagers - are losing interest very quickly.

It's not hard for a guy like Em to just fade away, especially with these other rapper's popularity growing IMMENSELY. Kanye, for example.

Blu, do you understand that you are talking about an artist that was nowhere for four years (after his weakest album), came back with a serial killer themed album rapped with accents and still wiped the floor with everybody else, in terms popularity. And then came Recovery.

Depends how good it is, how well it sells and how many live shows he does. Was 2010 REALLY Eminem's "year" while we're on the subject? I don't really think so despite the fact that Recovery was the best selling album. (was it?)

People are starving for Eminem news Blu. Just look at the christian thing, a lot of sites reposted it. Same with the "Return of Slim Shady" and these were basically fan made. And it had a huge buzz.

As soon as Eminem says a word about his album, the anticipation will be huge. Believe.

Yes, just because it is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, the best rapper alive since tupac.

Unless Tupac & Biggie come back from the dead and records and releases a collab album on the same day as Em's album, no album will be bigger than Em's. The thing with Em I love is that he doesn't need to collab with anyone to have a hit. Most of his singles throughout his career has been just him. Guilty Conscience, Encore, Crack A Bottle, and No Love are the only singles from his albums that he did collabs with with other rappers. Love The Way You Lie and Superman are the only collabs of his with singers. The rest either have samples of past songs or he does the hook. Em doesn't need to put out a single with someone to be huge, he can do it himself. Guys like Drake, Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Jay can't say that. How many collabs were on The Blueprint 3, Tha Carter 4, Take Care. and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy?

Em can do singles with just him and they will do big. The only other rapper I can think of that can say that would be Nas. The only rapper (if we can call him that) that was on Life Is Good was Rick Ross. Em and Nas are the two best rappers alive imo because they don't need to collab with anyone to have a great song.

No because Em didn't invite me.

if eminem's schedule is basically the same as when he released recovery, he will own the year.
-make hints at album
-few weeks later announce album
-2-3 weeks later release freestyle
-few days later release single
-do interviews for about a month
-release album
-MAKE DA MONAAYYYY

It all depends on how his album is. If he puts out something at least a little bit more than average, I can see him dominating most of 2013.

For those saying he had hype when on hiatus, it's because he had just dropped 4 successful albums and was the biggest rapper at the moment.

He's not the biggest rapper at the moment.

There are tons of other rappers making moves. What makes you guys so certain they want to hear Em? It's not 2002. He might have had the best selling rap album but that was mostly because of the content on the album, the features. Weezy was one of the hottest rappers when Recovery dropped.

Dude.. What the fuck are you on, this time? Not Afraid was the only official single released for Recovery and it was enough to make it that big and popular.

You don't understand that you can forget any "rapper" when it's about Eminem. He's not in the rapper category anymore, he's A STAR. A popular name, an icon. It's like every time he releases an album is fanbase his there to support him.

Eminem is NOT a trend, he will sell no matter what. And he'll be popular no matter what. Everytime a rapper mentions Eminem it's on blogs and hip hop sites.. You don't seem to understand that he's above every other rapper in terms of popularity and success.

If Em did some promotion (and did it right, not half-lazy as he usually does) and did a world tour after dropping the album-he would be the biggest thing this year. That is s fact.

He'll restrict himself and do a show in Comerica Park or VooDoo or T-in the Park or some shit.....again. Just watch. It almost seems impossible (now) that Em can pull off an actual, fully-fledged tour. That's how I see it for some reason.
