You cant say eminem killed him on his own song because song was eminems not jayz's. It was going to be on the bme album i think before royce and em falling out.

Came in here just to say that.

OCD tbh.

Jay's flow is nowhere near as impressive as Em's, his lyrics aren't as hard hitting, his delivery isn't nearly as appealing as Em's is...I don't think anything Jay said came close to that "fuckin' do-gooders, too bad you couldn't do good at marriage!" line.

there is no such thing as OCD when it comes to Em's lyrics and being a STAN. you get the lyrics right lol

Is it that hard to respect someone's personal opinion hear? Damn! It's cool if you think that way, though. I guess Jay-Z never gave a fuck and didn't listen to Eminem's verse properly and lost.

I liked the start of the second verse by Eminem very much.

Jay Z is definitely talking about how ghetto he is, how the media turns a blind eye to this, and you're ignorant if you think otherwise mate.

Ems verses are better, but I won't attack you for disagreeing (calm down, @Everyone In This Thread) His message was just overall amazing. Hypocrites, bullshit criticism, etc.

Em also wrote and recorded his parts for this song before Jay-Z did. Jay-Z had all of EM's parts when he wrote it and still couldn't outdo him.

Damn, Ether was great. I know it was Em's song originally, but it's bad when you have a song on your album that sounds like more like Eminem featuring Jay Z, not Jay Z featuring Eminem.

Em's verse was recorded way before Jay's, so it's pretty sad that he still couldn't outdo Em's verse.

Thing is, Jay was rushing to push through his album when he asked Em for a collab. I don't Jay had as long as people think to compose his verses.

That said, he was murdered.

Yeah, because it took Em a whole week to write his verses :zipped:

TRSS was written just a few hours before the album was due, there are no excuses when you're a veteran.

TRSS is a different kettle of fish. The majority of the track was already written down, Eminem just brought the various lines he had written throughout his lyric sheets together so that they merged in an organic way.

But that is a good point. I agree it is inexcusable that Jay's verse wasn't better, but I don't think he spits with the calibre to have created anything that out-shined Em.
