He did it with Recovery though. Open Air Festival, T In The Park and Oxegen festivals were two weeks after his album was released, and that makes a lot more sense than going to perform the same songs again and again in Ireland and England.
The album will probably be released mid-July, so he has like a full month to really check what songs the public is liking.
I think the Recovery tour is done now.
He performed those new songs for his first headlining act after its release:Won't Back Down
White Trash Party
Not Afraid
No Love
Cinderella Man
So Bad
This was at one of his latest show, in Sydney:Won’t Back Down
WTP
No Love
So Bad
Cinderella Man
Love the Way You Lie
Space Bound
Not Afraid
So you can see he added LTWYL and Space Bound because they were successful (and probably because they were singles lol.)
SO my point is.. He'll do 3/4 shows to check the crowd's reaction, and then he'll have a definitive setlist. But there is no way he'll perform his old Recovery stuff again in England and Ireland.

I dunno, I would fucking hope that he wouldn't come with Recovery songs at this stage, and yeah seems crazy that he would given they've said a new album is coming, and these shows are in August... yeah, they pretty much cement that it's coming within months then.

February 2010. That means it was confirmed before Not Afraid or even Despicable, so the situation is really similar. Are you going to one of the shows, by the way?
I'm kinda scared he's gonna follow the Recovery path, maybe with better beats though. I feel like you, I'm not sure if he can bounce back and surprise us all.
