Seems very unlikely that he would be headlining just to perform the same old Recovery songs.

I just can't imagine him risking headlining these shows with material he has no idea how the people will react to.

He did it with Recovery though. Open Air Festival, T In The Park and Oxegen festivals were two weeks after his album was released, and that makes a lot more sense than going to perform the same songs again and again in Ireland and England.

The album will probably be released mid-July, so he has like a full month to really check what songs the public is liking.

Oh wow, a whole new album / era of Em in a few months... badass. I'm so intrigued where he's going to go with it... I just get this sense that it's going to be less of a surprise than usual and he'll continue down some similar paths... but he never had once really. Looking back at old threads, it looks like the concerts were announced after Not Afraid was. Either way, I can't see him doing the same concerts he's been doing for a while now, then turn around put put out a new album weeks/months later.

That must mean he basically has it ready to go and is perhaps just choosing tracks and singles, and just sort of... finishing it up ready for release... I can't imagining him booking the shows if he was still aimlessly creating content waiting for it to take shape...

That makes me a little suspicious (in a good way) about how long he's been working on it though. He said back in August he hadn't even properly gotten in to it yet... and whilst it's perfectly possible he could have completed it in the 5 month's since... the fact he first said he was toying back in May 2012 and the fact Bizarre and Royce mentioned his next album in like 2011 or not long after Recovery... makes me think he's been secretly stacking and honing shit for a long time...

Which if true, is really exciting. As it must be some crafted, complex shit.

The fact we've heard ZERO (apart from No I.D. possibility) comments, producer talk or anything though and the fact Em has been doing so much exec and co-producing lately makes me think he did those things to hone his new production skills and has produced the bulk of this album himself. It's a reasonable explanation as to why we've had no information leaks...

Add all this up, plus the skill of his recent features, his Cypher, the vibe he's often given off with his look and in that Detroit book photo, and given the fact both Swifty and Royce have implied the world / his fans are going to be shocked at what they hear, and Royce saying something he heard 'gave him nightmares'... everything points to this being a really dark, original album... fuck I'm quite excited now. Come on Em, make a classic you cunt.
