Nobody else has stated hes the greatest rapper. Where he's given props to alot of people. I do think it is cause he is white, that he'll never be considered a rapper, cause to be a rapper to many people you got to be gangster. a 'gangster' rapper. if you will.

If he was black, I think many of us wouldn't of even listened to him, because if he was black, i think many of us would of considered him a pussy. The fact that hes white we know what its like for him to be white, it's a totally different culture per-say.

If eminem was black, he wouldnt sell as much as he sold being white.

He would be like rakim - a great rapper but only a audience that knows what they listen to would hear about him.

+ the controvercy that eminem stirs for publicity wouldnt work the same way if he was black, white people would resort to shit as stupid as calling him a "racist" and saying his song promote violence etc... etc.

He would`ve sold a lot less, but, might have had a better chance of getting in that coveted "Best Of All Time" list, which he does deserve to be in. Fair enough, he hasn`t been as prolific as 2Pac or Jay-Z, but SSLP, MMLP & The Eminem Show are 3 awesome albums from start to finish, i don`t know any other rapper with 3 "Great" albums like that in their back catalogue.

And Eminem doesn`t act black, I hate people who say that, its a racist thing to say. It`s sterotyping black people as foul-mouthed, baggy clothes wearing hip-hop lovers. Not all black people are into the hip-hop culture. Eminem grew up in a very tough city, and hung about with blak people who were into hip-hop. He didn`t copy them because they were black, he just embraced the culture of hip-hop.

What Asp and Truemfan said topped it off really, i just wanted to add my 2 cents.

The white thing does have a huge effect on his legacy, positive and negative. Sure, he sold more being white and the contraversy he attracted. But, everyone knows Eminem is far more interested in how he`s viewed as a great rapper, than making hundreds of millions. So he might feel a little bit short changed like that.

It's like he said in "Till I Collapse", "A plaque of platinum status is WACK if I'm not the baddest".
