I dont think so
Cuz we done swam with the sharks, wrestle with alligators
Spoke to a generation of angry teenagers
Whom if it wasn't for rap to bridge the gap
Maybe raised to be racist
Who may have never got to see our faces
Grace the cover of Rolling Stone pages
Broke down barriers of language and races

Now how the fuck did this metamorphosis happen
From standin' on corners and porches just rappin'
To havin' a fortune, no more kissin' ass
But then these critics crucify you, journalists try to burn you
Fans turn on you, attorneys all want a turn at you
To get they hands on every dime you have, they want you to lose your mind
every time you mad
So they can try to make you out to look like a loose cannon
Any dispute won't hesitate to produce handguns
That's why these prosecutors wanna convict me, strictly just to get me off
of these streets quickly
But all they kids be listenin' to me religiously, so i'm signin' cd's while
police fingerprint me
They're for the judge's daughter but his grudge is against me
If i'm such a fuckin' menace, this shit doesn't make sense Pete
It's all political, if my music is literal, and i'm a criminal how the fuck
can I raise a little girl?

Yeah, I've noticed it too, seems like he want to end the song with a big bang.

Also this is true in When I'm gone.

I don't know about that. I love all the verses in SFTM, but mostly the 3rd. I think all the spark, energy and true feelings come last, while everything else including creativity and great, lyrical rhymes come first, and even last sometimes. It's like when you're built up full of emotions, you blurt everything out, the bad and the good, sometimes at the last minute.

Yup. Anybody else notice that his last verses are always really long, longer then the first two verses in a particular song but very long in general?

8 Mile Road
Yellow Brick Road
Hailie's Song

I know their are more long 3rd verses. All of them excellent and full of emotion. Another thing, I also notice he sometimes changes the chorus up a bit after a 3rd & final verse of a song, like in Hailie's Song as well, and usually sings it...He does this in When I'm Gone, if you listen around 4 minutes and 9 seconds into the song.

the reason it seems the 3rd verse is better in his songs is cuz it makes sense to write the first verse to the best of your ability then write the second to top it and the 3rd to top both.

i know it's an old thread but i don't get alot of chances to respond.
