i agree with the OP one-hundred. you guys might say he flows better on relapse or whatever but i like the simple flow of SSLP better. it's easier to distinguish punclines and it's just that regular hip hop flow.

i don't wanna ramble on and on but SSLP is defnitely a lot better than relapse. it was fresh, it was funny, it was witty, and it had a lot more quotables.

he has something for everyone:

Lyrical - role model, just dont/still dont give a fuck, bad meets evil

That real shit - rock bottom, if i had

Funny, crazy, and fictional-but-based-on-real-life stories - the whole album.

It had that whole cartoon vibe to it but found a perfect balance of keeping his stories grounded and believable then all of a sudden shock you with twists and turns.

One of my favorite lines of all time is

"she came at me at full speed, nothin could stop her! I shot her 5 times and every bullet bounced off her!..."

that whole verse was just insane. nuff said. like where does he come up with this shit?

yea, I can def understand what your saying. As far as rhyming words goes on Relapse, theres no question Em's on top of his game...Dude rhymes so many words in each bar its almost hard to follow along. But yea, some of the concepts are really strange. Makes alot of gay references involving himself which has to make you wonder (Medicine Ball just to name one.) But all in all, Relapse is a pretty sick album.

I believe what Em's best at is songs like "Deja Vu" or "Beautiful" (and it shows). He is able to put people in situations and explain unique stories.

I personally would love an album filled with more serious songs like Deja Vu (a mix of comedy and drama, a great hook, and no accents). But since Em said "Relapse 2 is a continuation" I feel like it's gonna be in the same genre as "3 a.m." and "Same Song and Dance".

i agree with you mostly here, except that I think Relapse 2 will be different. I think a continuation of the two albums means it will be connected by the names of the albums, ex. Jay-Z's The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2; The Gift & The Curse & Blueprint3, along with Red & Meth's Blackout, then Blackout 2. None of the themes on each respective album listed above are the same- they're all unique in their own way and different but nice, yet share the same album name and that's it. That's how I think and feel Relapse & Relapse 2 will be connected, only by the name and the overall, general theme of drugs, but not by the songs' themes in each respective album.
