because Toy Story & Toy Story 3 has the same theme? while Realspe & R2 not? At least that's according to Em himself when he said R2 will be contrast to Relapse. I don't see why it should be called R2 when it doesn't have Relapse theme, that kinda makes no sense.

because both albums represent a relapse. he relapsed twice in the recovery process. makes perfect sense.

& both albums represent a relapse into the SSLP/MMLP style. relapse 1.. then relapse 2..

The Godfather 1 & 2 have completely different themes & tones yet it's still called Godfather 2.

pause. The "original" Relapse 2 has the same theme, yes, but since he scrapped most of it (if not all), that means we're gonna have an album that a lot different than the original.

Uhh...I'd make R2 more serious. Maybe a dinky little song here and there, but mainly things like TES. Including one or two big diss tracks at one or several different celebs.

It's not hard to catch that if you listen to all his interviews after Relapse + other people that making the album's interviews. Of course he didn't say something straight like "I've scrapped all my album and I'm making a new one right now" but there are enough hints that makes me sure he did scrapped most (or all) of the original R2.
Also, I don't think that means he gives a fuck about people's reaction, I feel more like he did that because he himself feels like he's in a completely different zone right now, and he's capable of making better music right now than the pre-relapse era ( for the obvious comparation, look up pre-relapse song "Taking my ball" & after - relapse verse "Forever" )

It was cool for an album but that's not what he should be rapping about at this point in his career.

I agree that stuff is played the hell out and its over with. It would shock me if Eminem went back to that. He might make this new CD perfect, trust me. He's gonna use his dope straight voice and the production will also improve; I'm expecting Just Blaze to deliver as well as Dr Dre and Eminem will sing the hooks beautifuly not like the nursery rhyme hooks on Relapse. He's gonna layer his sound alot more on melodies and hooks especially. Most importantly, he will be personal, real and address aspects of his life that we will relate to. I'm expecting this to be Em's greatest CD since the eminem show and alot like that CD
