IDK why people want to see Eminem in more movies... Like what roles? 8 mile worked because he was playing himself, and that movie was mediocre...

u were right when u said 8 mile worked but then u said it was mediocre which i disagree with. In my opinion, 8 mile helps to seperate eminem from any of his competition. He's the only rapper to win an Oscar because of it (soundtrack)

He was playing a character in a movie that corresponds to quite a few elements of his life.

He didn't have to try to act like some one else, he probably acted like he would like to think he acted during that part of his life. So for some one to say he was playing himself--their not correct, but it's really just semantics. He played a character very much like himself.

And 8 Mile wasn't amazing, for people that think it was. There were a couple parts in that movie where Em's acting could've been stronger, but he did an overall good job, and I really really liked it. My opinion isn't exactly objective either. I'm an Eminem fan, and I enjoyed the movie because it sort of showed a side of him we hadn't seen outside of his music.
