I gotta go with encore on this one, but no matter what anyone says it will always come down to someones opinion. if you like more gangster'ish songs you'll prolly like encore, if you like straight up dope lyrics you'll probably like relapse. i think the beats on encore were a lot better then relapse they just sound more hip hop. it really seems like encore and relapse were albums by two different people lol. either way eminem is and will always be the king of hip hop. pce :smoking:

lol Encore better than Relapse, this is stupid, Relapse is in a different league to that album. Encore has too many weak tracks.

And as far as his performances go, he performs much better now than he did at the 2005 encore tour, he was wasted & tired when he was their.

I prefer the beat's on encore but prefer the lyrical content on relapse, only thing I agree with is that LST is better than 3AM easily.

its a lot easier to rhyme when your rhymin about the most random shit like he does on relapse, and every song has something to do with murdering some girl. his songs in encore told stories about real shit so id say it'd be harder to rhyme with songs like that.

Which fans? Not me. While I don't like 3 AM, the amount of skill it takes to write a song like that is greater than the non-existent rhyming of Toy Soldiers. Plus, Eminem rapping about the stupid beefs with Benzino and Ja Rule and basically calling uncle was embarrassing. Serial Killer nonsense > That
Are you serious, you want to listen to him mumble on about killing and slashing none existant people rather than a true song like LTS? I think you need to start listening to Insane Clown Posse (I really like them) the cutting slashing ryhming is their sort of scene, not Ems.

Here you're DEAD WRONG. There's a lot of non-sense rapping on both albums, but for most of Encore Eminem LITERALLY doesn't even make sense. Are you kidding me? Sure, Eminem isn't really rapping "about" anything on much of Relapse...but he IS making sense, and he's rhyming his ass off while doing it. That can't be said about Encore's trash.

I don't think he's wrong at all, Crazy In Love, Yellow Brick Road, Mokingbird, LTS, Puke (SO UNDERATED considering what hes rapping about) ALL mean something and below you try to dismiss the meaning of these songs describing them as "corny or scatterbrained", you want scatterbrained!?!? listen to Must be the ghanja, 3AM or Stay Wide Awake (NOW I USE POWA TOOLS HOW BOUT NOW WHILE U IN THA SHOWA) :confusion:

Yes, those Encore songs you listed "say something" However they convey the message in ways that weren't well thought out...scatterbrained...corny...annoying.

Deja Vu alone is more meaningful than everything on Encore combined.

It's a very good song, it's not more meaningful than a whole album about a hard time in his life though.

Well I don't really like the bonus tracks much for either album, so...

One of the most meaningful songs he's made is Careful What You Wish For, doesn't make it good I know, but I Love You More, My Darling are a million times better than Rain Man, Must Be The Ghanja or 1st Single.

Evil Deeds
Never Enough
Yellow Brick Road
Like Toy Soldiers
Just Lose It
Mosh
Puke
Love You More
Spend Some Time
Ricky Ticky Toc
Mockingbird
Crazy In Love
One Shot 2 Shot
We As Americans
Encore

and that album up there .. for me personally, is better than Relapse. .

yeah, if encore didnt leak,it would be better
If encore had these songs i would think Relapse=Encore
Not better,not worse
but the same

but encore with songs like My first single(I hate that song) is worse..

I feel like people dont give Relapse a chance because of the accent but once you get past it, you enjoy it more. so yea Relapse > Encore, because its just technically sooo much better

hell yeah, i am obsessed with the flow on same song and dance

Althought people will do it, to me it's stupid even comparing Relapse to any of his other albums, because it's a concept one..

Look at his first 4 albums (except Infinite) and while they had their own little things like SSLP- was more shady.. MMLP- was more personal.. ES- was more post fame..

Relapse is set on the idea of his not only Relapsing in to drugs, but Relapsing in to Shady again.

If he'd have done Relapse with the same set up of 1/4th personal, 1/4th funny, 1/4th angry, 1/4th psycho.. Then it wouldn't have been the concept album he wanted to make..

So with this said, singles were always going to be hard. But the fact that after 5 years out, he managed to plug 3 drug/rehab infested singles to some success, and to make it the highest selling album of the year, and to make everyone in the UK atleast having the chorus of We Made You in their heads..

He did well.

Now his name is back out there..

Now it's time for a proper album :y:
My Top 5 (in no order)-

Big l
Biggie Smalls
Royce Da 5'9"
