Alaine wrote:the whole Drop The World song is overrated, so because it has Eminem AND Lil Wayne, lots of people automatically think it's hot?! imo it's just alright, nothing they say in the song really catch my attention ;) But I like Em's voice & flow in this a lot though

btw Forever as a whole is overrated too, it's an average track with 2 horrible verses from Kanye & Wayne, only Drake's verse is good and Em's verse is superior.

wtf lmao kanye and wayne dropped hard as fuck on forever, and drop the world is collabo of the year no doubt, dam your totally boring!!! :b:

that's my opinion, respect it plz ;) Those collabs have nothing on classics Em's collabs like Forgot about Dre, Renegades, Guilty Conscience.. Both sound like something you'd hear on radio but I'm sure won't be bumping that 10 years later or even next year. P

EminemIVLife wrote:Y are so many people hating on Em's melody at the beginning of the song?? He executed it brilliantly as well if you ask me.

well I like it

You cant tell if something will be classic days after it drops. Just give it time and see how it settles (already 500-000 youtube hits on a single page in 2 days now) <- People are going crazy about it and I have already heard enough ppl refer to it as a classic to believe that it may be so. Personally, its probably in the top ten of Em collabos ever imo.

not sure about you but I can  And technically Forever has been out for months, not "days after it drops", it's cool but still, just average.
And I don't think popularity of the song ( 500-000 youtube hits ?) has much to do with quality :sweating: It has Eminem & Lil' Wayne on it, so of course people will be hearing it, that's called HYPE.
I must say this verse & Forever verse are a lot better than some past collabs (Touch Down, Peep Show..) but definitely not "classic"

^ well it IS overrated, every site I went to I see entry & comments like "Eminem just renegade'd Wayne on Drop The World" or " Eminem murdered Wayne on his own song"... seriously, every site, it's not THAT good, and definitely not comparable to Renegade. Also I must say that "Eminem murdered you on your own shit" is kinda annoying, it's not like they have beef and doing diss tracks, they're in a track TOGETHER.

Me too I like relatable stuff, but hey The Eminem Show was full of relatable stuff but still, 95% of the verses in TES are better than is DTW verse.

The thing is people hate the accent so much that any verse without it is an instant classic to their ears. And you have to understand this, Eminem clearly dumbed down his lyrics for this verse, because he knows the audience of lil wayne are younger hip hop listeners who like simplified stuff.

And seriously, this is not a bad verse, but it really sound like a toned down version of Forever. He uses almost the same flow and rhyme pattern at times.

I liked the verse, but come on. It isn't THAT lyrically amazing...Deja Vu is much better than this verse was.
