Voted Relapse.

The Ecstatic was definitely in my top hip-hop albums of the year. Maybe my 2nd or 3rd favourite.

And it's a great album but I think Relapse should win it. I think Relapse is more crafted and although Mos' flow was at times dizzying (in a good way) on the album, I think he's getting lazy with his delivery.

I mean I miss the Mos of Black on Both Sides. Super-fast, hard-hitting and impressive. But he emphasized the rhymes and his flows more. He feels like he's just mumbling through it lately. Especially at BET.

But yeah, one of the two should definitely win. I'd prefer it to be Relapse but Mos is also a worthy winner. Even if he is a bit racist. I forgive him. The cunt. Nah just joking. Not. Nah seriously.

People just accept black extremism more because they're confused of what racism actually is and don't want to seem racist by appearing to try to oppress black views / freedom of speech. But after the fight back, it's tipped the scales and blatant racism from blacks in America is now common place. Where I'm not by the way - I'm in Britain - So I observe it clearly, standing back

He has a whole track for example on Black on Both Sides called "Rock 'n' Roll" where he spends the whole time denouncing white rock n roll stars and praising a black one in their place. Trying to emphasize black rock musicians are the true source of inspiration even saying - About the Rolling Stones - "They ain't come up with that shit on their own" - Implying these artists all stole from black ones. Pretty astoundingly racist bullshit.

Also hilarious ignorance. Trying to emphasize they had influence as if it's a bad thing. I'd like to remind him, he didn't come up with rap or his fucking style on his own either.

I mean it's opinion, like I say, it's on the bone. But picture the reverse for a second. Eminem with an entire track called "Rap Music" where he spent the whole time denouncing every great black rapper, saying they all stole from The Beastie Boys and other obscure white rappers.

Can you fucking imagine the outrage? Yet the reverse is fine. We have a long way to go.

What Mos Def fails to see is the problem is humans. Regardless of skin colour. It's not white cops, it's corrupt cops. It's not white politicans, it's corrupt politicans. He thinks getting a black guy in office solves everything. He's a very naive racist in that sense.

Also, art is humans. It's obviously not coincidence that every rock and roll star he named in place of a white one was black. In fact he clearly emphasizes this, he wants you to know that. Now do you think it's just a coincidence he happens to think every black artist is better... Could be. But more likely he's predujist and it favouring them more. If Elvis was black, he'd probably like him more.

He's singling out skin colour. Definition of a racist. Art is art, humans are humans. I love his music but he needs to readjust his thinking and stop being so vile.
