Well you may say there are or people may think they are but rarely are they lmao.

That's why people can hardly define the 'accents' because it's often not accents.

It's American. It's the way he's flowing it that makes it sound that way. Of course he flow without doing that... It's not 'without', it's not a mistake, he's doing it on purpose.

He likes to sound different every album and he's bored so he's trying to play with the language more.

Take for example... "Medicine Ball". Listen to the way individual words are said. "Slim Shady Mecca Rebecca". Does that sound foreign to you? It's American. It's all about the sing-song flows he's creating that give your ears the illusion of an accent. He's just fucking with his tone and vocal speed.

Or take... Even "We Made You". When he says "Back by popular demand". Again, he's saying that in an American accent, it sounds weird because he's spitting each line in like an energy burst, speeding up and slowing down. It's like "BACKBYPOPULARDEMAND..... NOWPOPALILZANTICFORANTACIDIFYACAN" - He's bunching everything up and spitting in energy bursts lmao.

So to me, they're flows. Not accents. He does occasionally slip into genuine accents like "Same Song & Dance" n that's the difference, notice the way he's pronouncing words, it's foreign. But most are American, it's the flows.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did lol. Imagine what would happen if Em came out and tomorrow and said that R2 won't be coming until next winter lmao.

I agree. Honestly, I couldn't imagine some of the beats having his normal voice. The accents fit perfect on the songs and with the content. It's just not as appealing. And it's never actually one "accent" it's a lot of different ones, he doesn't really use the same voice throughout all of the songs, which makes them interesting and really expresses the craziness in his head

That being said, I hope he doesn't use it for Relapse 2 at all. If he does any goofy/crazy/zany songs, they should be along the lines of Elevator, which is a very good song and reminds me of the old Eminem. Elevator was a classic song, at least to me. It's able to be crazy without having to be a killer with an odd accent

There once was a saying that I used to say
Back in the day when I met Dre
I used to sit and goof on the phone with, my friend Proof
That if I went gold, I’d go right through the roof
He said what If you went platinum, I’d just laugh at him
That’s not happening, that I can’t fathom
Eighty something million records worldwide,
Later I’m living in a house with a fucking elevator

I completely agree with Eminembase on this, I can't hear any accents, though he DOES sound waaaay different (and I hope he goes back to his "normal" sound on R2).

His intonations on the words coupled with his flow and twisting words to rhyme makes it sound like accents.

I'm only entertaining you
My goal is to stimulate, making you high
And take you and I
To a place you can't see
But I believe you can fly
I don't mean nobody harm, I'm just partying
I'm not your dad, not your mom, not your guardian
Just a man who's on the mic
So let me entertain you...

I don't know how you don't hear it. Compare We Made You with Without Me. Both are fast-paced songs but both sound much different.

I don't understand the excuse of 'He uses the voice to rhyme words together' (as I've read some people say). He didn't use that voice in his first three albums and he made fantastic rhymes as we all know.

And to add on-I don't see why people are complaining over Relapse 2 threads.
