well initially i opposed it because i always thought of em as a guy who doesn't have any business with pussy rappers and pop singers, but when they actually started making songs together i thought it was hilarious that em killed him on two tracks with ease, plus doing tracks with wayne will gain em more fans and publicity and of course build the hype for R2 however i still wish he picked better rappers to get on a track with.

Either we like it or not we all like to hear a new material from him.

dude how can you compare full rhymes that em spits with a funny accent, with wayne rhyming shit rhymes with autotune. yeah the accent kinda sucks, but Eminenbase was talking about lyrical ability.

But what's very different is... It wasn't like MOST critics saying "it's okay" or "it's average" it was nearly a 50/50 split of "it's fantastic" and "it's trash".

No doubt large in part because of the accent(s) and because of the graphic violence. But for every critic who said it was trash there were five who said it was glorious. Totally mixed.

Given the absolute support from all rappers and hype surrounding him, I've given Wayne chance after chance after chance in my mind and everytime I come away thinking "he's shit".

His verses on "Drop the World" and "Forever" weren't bad, some good lines.

But Carter III for example, supposedly his best, sounds like a pile of trash to me. He's got about 10 fucking features, the verses are usually so similar and empty they're interchangeable... For people to say this man is close to Em is a joke.

I remember reading an article the other day with Drake saying the impact of Wayne going to jail for a year will be a felt and it'll be a long time before hip-hop has somebody like Wayne with the wordplay etc... Is he serious? Has this man just grown up on fucking Wayne.

I don't see how he could say and think that, especially after seeing Em / Wayne on-stage, Em outshines him and his verses just shit on Wayne's from every angle. And his flow(s).

When I say poor I mean in comparison to previous albums. People didnt like the un-mainstream side of the album. All his other have had tracks for the masses. So maybe he felt that he needed to branch out to more poppy artists. Shame, really.
