Most people only hate on Encore. Relapse is one hell of a concept album, probably the best one there is.

my thought down to a T. and I bump recovery shit, idk why you don't think there is a song you can bump. all i know is that i wanna replay 14 of the 17 songs, on relapse it was mostly played cause it was new.

Eminem33 wrote:Cons of Recovery
Needs Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, d12, and if he really thinks T.I., B.o.B., Kanye are dope why aren't they on the album
Honestly not that much emotion
Not one song you can honestly bump to
Production wise the album was horrible

Still dissing Mariah
Not dissing anyone relevant in rap
Saying lil wayne would destroy him
Not one dark track
Uses the same flow on every single track
To much Singing
Some of the worst chorus'

To many samples
He's become what he's hated since day one
Making songs with main stream singers/rappers
The entire album is to main stream
Shady just aint hard no more
Saying he couldn't make a good enough song for proof and dedicating Relapse to him, then making a song for him on Recovery? He shoulda moved on already.

Hating on Relapse and Encore so much

The only real con on Relapse is the accent, and it's not even that bad, production wise it was one of the best.

Ok, the things in Bold I just don't get at all, the underlined things are subjective (your opinion).

1. Those mentions of Proof and how he honestly still had feelings for Kim they could just never work it out seemed pretty emotion driven to me...

2 and 3. (Subjective) I quite liked the production

4. He hardly dissed her at all, all I can remember is one passing mention

5. Why would he bother? When he mentions celebrity's it's not really a personal vendetta it's just a passing mention either because they rhyme with where he's going or because they did something stupid for him to point out.

6. When he was drugged up is what he meant, and he wasn't just talking about Wayne, he was talking about anyone who was getting attention that he was thinking of going at because when he was like that he's saying he couldn't write a decent punchline. It's called honesty...

7. I heard lots of different flows on tracks, he might use the strong voice for DELIVERY a lot but his flow switches up a lot (as per usual)

8, 9 and 10. (Subjective) I enjoyed a lot of the choruses but understand why people don't like them because of the singing and the samples.

11. (Subjective) I'd love you to explain this one because I can't see it.

12. Does it matter if they're mainstream? Lil'Wayne did great, Rhianna sounded great and Pink was a great choice.

13. (Subjective) I don't find it that mainstream, I just found it to be a great Eminem album, I don't care if people think it's mainstream or not.

14. (Subjective) I'd rather not know if his dick was hard thanks...

15. (Subjective) This one I'm kinda half agreeing with, but then again just because he made a song dedicating it to Proof doesn't mean it has to be the only one. I think he just wanted to put his thoughts out there (and a lot of fans wanted it)

16. He didn't really hate on them, he just said that they were below his standards, he even said in the Jonathan Ross interview, it wasn't that he hated Relapse, he was pretty happy with it, but he felt that he might have gone overboard with the accents a bit. Encore, well to be honest only a handful of the tracks were actually any good imo.

Track by Track is purely your opinion so no point on commenting because I'm not one to try and change another opinion.

-----------------

Overall I respect your opinion but you state it as if it was fact which is the only reason I wrote this, most of the stuff I wrote is only my opinion so it doesn't really change anything it's just something to think about I guess :D

when i first heard relapse every song sounded exactly the same. but as you hear the songs more often and often you think how could i ever thought that. that will be the same with this album watch and see. The flows sounds the same but in a month you think otherwise , i love it :y:

My biggest problem with Recovery so far is the trashing of Relapse...he seems to have been brainwashed into thinking it sucks by his own idiotic loser fans. The admission of Encore's suckage, however, is long overdue.

lol, you compare what's incomparable, plus it's your subjective opinion, not even based on some of true objective ones, you can't just trash a song like "My Mom", and you can't compare it to any other songs from Recovery, "My Mom" is the second (if not the first) best song from Relapse and that's an objective opinion. tracklist chronology comparison is just stupid, "Old Time's Sake" >> "Space Bound"? get the hell outta here! "Crack A Bottle" >> "Almost Famous"? come back right now and get the hell outta here again! how can you compare "Underground" to "Love The Way You Lie", they are two completely DIFFERENT songs in EVERY WAY that exist! all your comparisons are WRONG! of course "My Mom", "Stay Wide Awake", "My Darling", "3AM" and "Deja Vu" are CLASSICS, but you can't compare them to any song from Recovery because some of Recovery songs are also CLASSICS in their own ways. jesus! good tracks are equally good, but Recovery is better than Relapse for some other reasons, and that's a whole different story..
