Really? Wow, I thought that beat was crazy. The tone it sets is like nothing on MMLP. Incorparating the spray paint into it was genius.

nah since emshow and after em has generally let the beat talk to him now. not saying he does all the time but most of the time he does

Eminem limits himself. He has never been a lyrical genius although he is a master of capturing emotions in his songs.

I thought he had moved on and was ready to show people something new but the only new stuff we got on Recovery - that was a change from his previous releases - was a couple of corny love songs and a weak analogy about hip hop (which he had already moaned about on Say goodbye to hollywood).

"Fuck you"
"You can't do it better than him"
"bla bla bla bla"

^^No reason to respond now. I did it for you.

it's not "the best of him" it's just something different. which is expected. but don't confuse something "new and fresh" with being better when actually it's just that it's new. like getting a new phone that isn't necessarily an "upgrade." it has all the same features as your old phone, but the layout is different, making it feel like it's better when it's really just different.

The beat on So Bad reminds me of the beat from Xxplosive from Dre's Chronic 2000 album. Maybe its the horns...I dunno :confusion:

man u must be mad if u dont think em is or up there with the great lyricists.what em did on relapse will never be touched by anyone or himself again .the complex rhyming scheme and bending of the words that normally dont normally rhyme fit together is light years ahead of any rapper has done.

I didn't mean rhymes and such stuff when I said "lyrical". It's basically the topics that I was talking about.

What else can he rap about though?
Em is easily one of the most versitile emcees ever, Rakim rapped about rapping for 20 years, Big Daddy Kane was the same, Raekwon raps about pushing coke on every album, Jay has boasted for his entire career, Em has rapped about so many different topics that its near impossible for him to rap about something new, unless you want him to drop a mafioso album, and if he did that, he'd still be critisised

I think its ridiculous that Em gets critisied for rapping about similar subjects when nearly every rapper 15 years into their career has done the same

underground cats do that all the time with rhymes that are better then em's.

difference is, they ain't got nothing else. thats all they do! come up with dope rhymes and such. they ain't got that X factor if you know what I mean?
