You're crazy man... it brings back memories of his older shit... Where he's just rippin on the track, his flow is as smooth as a baby's bottom. His delivery reminds me of 'criminal' the way he has that anger and ferocity without actually screaming like he did on the rest of the album, and the way hes builds up the intensity from the beginning of a verse to the end. Like this verse for instance..
I color coded it so you can see what i mean..
Does this look like an arcade? Tryna play games?<-- least intense here
See this saw blade? See the silhouette of a stalker
in your walk-way? Better co-operate
Or get saute'd and rotisseried while you're hog-tied <-- most intense here
MC's get so quiet you can hear a muh'fucking dog whistle while I walk by <-- releases all tension / intensity, back to base line.
This is the only track that he has that familiar angry / ferocious flow that we've all come to love. The rest of the tracks he tries TOO hard.. he over does it and instead he ends up sounding like hes screaming and yelling. ( which he is )
On top of all that the metaphors in this track aren't corny as fuck like the rest of the album has
(i.e. 'haters can make like bee's with no stingers and drop dead' - really em? bees with no stingers? drop dead?)
And yes the proof track was epic, and its hard to follow that song... but it doesn't...
its a shady bonus, it's not on the track list, therefore it doesn't follow any track, it just happens to be the last song we hear
