its not that big a deal...and even if it was...he'd change the words in concert...he always changes lyrics in concert...its kinda cool actually

for instance he could change it to...

"From Infinite down to that DAMN Relapse album."

"And to the fans, I'VE never let you down again, I'm back... in fact, let's be honest, that DAMN Relapse CD was ehhh, perhaps I ran them accents into the ground."

Well, yes. If you're a good artist.

Bob Dylan's records still get played today because they are "future-proof," idiot. The Beatles songs still played today are all timeless classics.

EVERY bob dylan song is timeless? The Beatles dont have ANY songs where they address specific issues that may not be relevant today?

OK..... :facepalm :facepalm

This is what you should edit every single post of yours to.

"Edit: sorry i fucked up."

Haha, at least I'll admit when I'm wrong. You're making an example of one song from a catalogue of music from an artist who wanted to make a very specific and heartfelt apology to a lot of fans who were severely disappointed with his last album. You're going to fault him for that? Lmao.

Again, :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm.

So according to your logic, Prince is not a good artist because of his single "1999" right? You, and this thread, fail miserably.

Real fans will hear the verse, remember that time as a defining moment in Em's career where he successfully made it out of addiction and came back stronger than ever. Again, your logic is about as sound as a boat with a hull made of swiss cheese.

Amadeo wrote:Yes. Firstly, the heartfelt apology shouldn't even have fucking been there. He did it to please morons like you. Secondly, if you're going to apologize for an album (an album that nobody even knows about... who even knew about Relapse apart from Stans?), don't do it on an anthemic lead single. It's pretty much the corniest thing ever.

The song is supposedly being played in NBA stadiums. What, you think it's going to pump the players up to hear Eminem sucking up to his fans about some album nobody knows about? "Hell yeah, them accents on Relapse were ehh!!! Let's lift in this second quarter, guys!!"

By putting this corny, personal, specific meta stuff in a song that's supposed to be an inspirational, universal song... he's made a meal of it.

And you are blowing one or two lines that deal with the overall message of the song out of proportion and faulting the entire song for it. Did Em hit a soft spot with you with those lines? Did you love relapse soo much that you could even bare the thought of eminem disagreeing with you? Seriously, this thread, and your logic which you have yet to defend, is ritarded.

And wait, you're getting upset because a line on the song that was made for "morons like me" didn't please you? I feel it should be there but because YOU didnt feel it should be there it automatically makes the song wrong? How egotistical are you? Hit Em up, I'm sure you'd be a great executive producer on his next album.

Guys, according to Amadicko's logic that has changed my life, I will no longer listen to music that is not relevant right here and right now. Prince, NWA, all those artists who have songs that just dwell in the past are stupid and, according to amadeo, "not good artists." Thank you.

Granted, he still performs "The Way I Am," where he says, "I'm not going to be able to top on My Name Is." But that doesn't sound nearly as anachronistic as STILL apologizing to fans for his last album, which wasn't even his last album.

He doesnt HAVE to preform this in a couple of years. He'll just do LTWYL instead

He should, because that's a way better song and it is timeless.

Agreed but Why would he if there are so many problems?
I love bein hated, it's great
