Fuck me, this old chesnut.

Names don't make something commercial. Themes make something commercial. Eminem's own name is now fucking commercial, what's he meant to do? Purposely self-destruct, kick himself off his label and sell records out of his trunk again just to not be commercial.

So again, just because Pink, Wayne and Rhianna are now commercial names, it's all dependant on what you do with them. It's not commercial just because they're on it. None of the songs are commercial. He's still a total individualist throughout the entire album, he's still entirely him. It's entirely his art.

Again, when you hear the man say he wants to fuck the entire universe with his cock on his lead fucking single.... You cannot call that commercial. It's no such thing. People confuse better sounding or better arranged music with commercialism. Nothing about him is watered down. I agree some of the beats are more mainstreamed but it's still a completely Eminem-driven album. Not commercial at all.

No. Nas is famous and DIstant Relatives wasn't a sellout at all. He stayed true to his roots, pleased his fans, pleased the critics, and made great music in 2010.

None of the songs are commercial? Maybe not as much as We Made You but there was definitely a more commercial approach than any album so far. He would diss himself for those features if the 99 Em popped up.

The production was undeniably commercial. The hooks were undeniably commercial.

Please keep it to 50 words of less next time, wtf.

What exactly is the big difference between Rihanna/Pink and Dina Rae? Having female pop singers on track it's not something new.

Is it not something new? I had no idea. Thank you for shedding some light and missing the point completely. Would you like a cookie or maybe some form of award for this feat of stupidity?

well, I guess the only difference is Rihanna/Pink(especially Rihanna) unlike Dina Rae got more reputation/popularity, Dina Rae isn't "mainstream" like Rihanna or other female pop singers, so that affects on Recovery for calling it "commercial"...
