that's because it's not in their ORIGINAL plan. They're supposed to drop Relapse 2, a whole new album at the end of year but since he scrapped it all they think of this re-release as a replacement, I guess we could refer to this re-release as "Relapse 2" as well, as I think it'll contain the best from the original Relapse 2 . And if you already purchased Relapse, you may get those new tracks from itunes or some other sources.

Like a said in my post right after this one, if he's putting this out a filler then im fine with that but if the label is putting this out now to postpone, put off or buy time until he put out an album "sometime next year" then I think it wack. They should just put the 7 songs out. And if they really just want to make money off it they should put it up on itunes or something. Im not mad at Em, Im mad at the people who are too stupid to see that the compact disc dead. How many people, in these times, are seriously going to go buy a record they already bought just for 7 new songs? You can just fuckin download it!!

I already said this will be counted toward the original release, even if it's not doing well, it's still no problem. When Taylor Swift put out her re-release with 6 new songs, it sold like 100k first week.

For the person saying he should of released this the same day as Relapse i think at that time these songs were for Relapse 2 and now he has loads more newer and better material so he is gonna give us this.

A while ago i had a thread asking what people thought he would do with the unused tracks from that period because im sure people wanted to hear them and now atleast we will hear atleat 7 of them with this Refill idea.It would make a good Christmas stockin filler for any Eminem fan and im sure it will sell well.

I don't know about this still. People were so vocal about the material, accents, and the lack of lyrical content on the record and now he's going to put out, AND SELL, that all over again. I'm afraid it's only going to hurt him. Im afraid of being dissapointed. I can't figure out why he would want to release, AND SELL, old songs that he's knows aren't better than the new ones he has. :confusion
If they're putting this out and it's no such thing as Relapse 2 anymore or just to push back the record, we all know "sometime next year" (2009) in industry talk mean "March 2011"

I know what's you're talking about, I don't want to be disappointed too, that's why I don't get my hope up too much. BUT it's better than nothing at all. And I assume this will have a promo single as well, so if the single's good, it may be surprisingly doing well. And it's not going to "hurt" him or anything, it's Interscope who made the plan

About the quality of music, don't say that it will be bad when we didn't even heard anything yet. Like I already said, this could be the best ones from the original Relapse 2 batch, the ones that not fit with new album he's recording but he feels like they're worth listening and still wants to put them out. That way we won't miss the best from the original R2, but also we will have a new album with "emotional" stuff like he said in interview. This is the most reasonable explanation I can come up with

And I'm fine with new album coming out next year, even if it's the end of next year, as long as it's lived up to my expectation.

Cant wait to hear from Eminem or Interscope to say whether there is still a R2 or just a new album that is in the works that is off of the Relapse theme. Just seems strange that a couple days after Mr. Porter says he's pleased with R2 they cancel/delay it?? O well, i'll be downloading the 7 tracks, no need to rebuy an album we already have just for 7 tracks.
