It's why tons of people wrote Relapse off, all he was doing was rhyming for the most part. Very few songs where he brought the songs to life and illustrated a story.

We might be listening to different albums, there's only about four songs on Relapse where he tells a story, or at least tries to.

This is the excuse most of you all try to make that I ABSOLUTELY hate. I understand it's a feature, but that doesn't mean Em just has to lose all skill and spit a verse someone from here could write. Look at a song like Patiently Waiting, it was a feature and Em still spit some interesting shit.

Flows are extremely important and make or break songs. Check out Our House. Lots of people don't like it 'cause the flow is weird. He was saying good things there with a weird flow, so why don't you enjoy it? It's just preference I guess. I like how he sounds on this, so I'll listen.

That flow was really choppy. I can't listen to a choppy flow, no matter the artist.

I think he's saving the content for his album.

R&B album or Hip-Hop album, it doesn't matter. Just because it's a Rihanna album doesn't mean Em should be crap.

I actually think that's the kind of mentality Em has right now. He assumes people won't give a shit about what he writes on features, so he spits whatever.

I have a feeling Eminem's forcing himself not to revisit old rhyme schemes, flows and patterns...which is why he's picking the weirdest beats ever that couldn't be further from his usual sound. It's not working. Stop experimenting. Go back to rhyming cat with hat, and stop trying to "bend the wordzzz" by rhyming suspenders with "limbs cuz."

I remember hearing about 'Recovery' that he chose the beats he felt would challenge him rhythmically most. I've also heard people on here describe it as a jumbled mess with too many producers. Related?

This is completely irrelevant, but I've always thought it was kinda funny that Rihanna said she agreed to do LTWYL because she knew Em didn't only want her on it because it was a song about domestic violence and she was the obvious choice...when Em has openly admitted that ue wrote the song with her in mind because of the Chris Brown thing.

Honestly, I STILL don't know what the fuck this song is about so when Em heard it, he was probably like, "Uh...what the fuck do I write about?".

He should've just not done this collab tbh, waste of time even if I like his flow and voice.

It's about waving a chick over on the highway and then it's just double entendres. For a while there I took the second half more literally and thought it was really cool. Still, impeccable sound to the second half. Catchy as hell.
