me too but that doesn't mean it's okay that he makes a shitty verse.

This could possibly be what was going through his head when he wrote and recorded it. He just needed something to keep his name out there, but he was working on something that's more important, so he just sent off a bullshit verse that he knew the pop fans would like because he doesn't want to waste any time unnecessarily.
I hope.

When I say it's good or bad, I'm talking just about his verse though.
No way am I or is I think anybody disputing the actual song, it's awful.
But I really don't hear that verse as awful; I think he's beginning to get his playful wit just about right, he's mixing silly (on face-value) sound effects / with sinister tones, where as on like Encore, he just made stupid noises, with stupid tones. But he's sounding mean, dark, he's got that attitude, the rhyming and flows are great, the delivery is razor sharp, and he's actually becoming genuinely funny again IMO. Like, the twat thing on "Loud Noises", I think that's funny and insulting as shit.
As to why he'd jump on this song, my guess is that him and Paul are intentionally making very short collaborations (to keep fans thirsting for more, especially after this long of no solo stuff), but on songs that are bound to have a big reach ie. Pink, Rihanna. As he's not compromising himself for these songs, but the actual songs are generic... so I think he's intentionally popping up on big pop songs, with experimental, and very short appearances so a lot of people hear it, and want more. And given that these collabs have come in such a successive row, with two big singles (50, Skylar) coming in Nov, then Dec; it all appears to be for calculated album build-up.
I also have a suspicion that Em may be aware of the criticism of pop on Recovery and so perhaps he's intentionally featuring on pop songs on OTHER albums so that he doesn't have to compromise for his next album aka; these songs are effectively acting AS singles, rather than him having to water anything down for his actual album singles. That's a bit of a hope, but I think it's plausible.

I didn't say that. For me: very good verse.Whitefox wrote:I have a feeling that Eminem didnt even write his verse to this song. He just took something that was already recorded and mixed it.
Nah... it's Eminem-style verse. Even If i have this verse only written, I'd recognize Eminem in it, because it's just his style.

Negative? sounds positive as hell to me. He's saying the material is dark, fucked up, and it's effective. I love that.
