I doubt this is from Detox. Why would it be Eminem featuring Dre and have only one Dre verse at the end to Eminem's two? Can you think of any songs like that from anyone's album?

I'm never really critical of Em and his work, but u guys on this forum are hypin it wayyy more than it should. It's a pretty good song, but people callin it 'masterpiece' is just plain stupid. Production is not that good. Lyrics are good. I love the content, but this will have little replay value in the future. It will be forgot about in 2 months. 'All She Wrote' is a way better made song. You can hate me now.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you and how long have you been listening to Eminem for? I dont mean that in a patronising way I'm just genuinelly curious.

IN all actuality it was Jimmy who heard the tape and thought he was worth something and passed him onto Dre. Jimmy saved his life.

And the Bass Bros are the ones who believed in him when they didn't have to. And helped mould his sound.

Eminem lost the battle to Juice at the '97 Rap Olympics and passed his EP out to some woman from Interscope. SHE was the one who heard it first and thought it sounded marketable.

Yes, to an extent. He gave it to her and she was in love with it just halfway through the first song (those are her words) but I think Em tossed his EP to some 'kid' after losing the battle. Turns out the kid worked for Interscope.

Or maybe the kid gave the tape to Wendy and she forwarded it to whoever. I forget. It's on a biography on YouTube.

Thing is, there's always another story where Dre heard Em on the Sway and Tech Wake Up Show and wanted to work with him since he heard that amazing freestyle he did

the more I hear it the more I think this shouldn't be a single, way too personal (it's directed @ Dre, not like NA OR LTWYL), the chorus is epic but not radio-catchy, plus Em's yelling gonna turn off some people (he's louder here than LTWYL). The only way I see this become a hit is that when it got released to itunes it had to went straight to #1 & set some sale record, but now that it got leaked wayy too soon like this, it's hard for the sale too. damn these freaking leaks

I figured it was unfinished (or low quality), but I would have rather waited for the CDQ before I heard the song. The first time I heard it, I didn't like it at all. The second time grew on me a little
