Zu is without a doubt the smartest person on the board so if he says something then you know it's true

Lmfao, that would be a fallacy. Even if I were the smartest, that wouldn't mean that everything I say is the truth. I am human after all.

There are numerous rappers that outshine Eminem, in almost all aspects. But you guys will still say ''Eminem has this certain mystique, he strings words together like no one ever does'' bla bla bla. If the majority of you guys were really open-minded, and not so much in Eminem's ass, you guys would appreciate music more in general.

Take this how you want to take it, if you take heat to this, then take heed to this: this is the internet, get used to it.

Yes, I'm mad.

I don't even think Eminem has "fell off" so to speak. (I don't like using that term lol) He definitely isn't at the same standard as he was 10 years ago, no way....it's decreased by a lot, but he is still capable in 2010/2011, it's just VERY hit or miss these days, where as before in his peak, it was nearly always hit.

I didn't enjoy Relapse, I thought it was horrible and I still dislike it. But I enjoyed most of Recovery when it dropped, and although I don't really listen to it that much anymore, some of the songs on that album are great. And a few features he has done I have enjoyed. So it's still there, and still in him...somewhere. We just don't see as frequently as we once did.

Eminem is my favourite rapper of all time, and probably always will be, but unlike a lot of people, I acknowledge that there are hundreds of rappers out there that could murder him and outshine him in 2011

A lot of people know this, know that he's not REALLY the GOAT. Em IS still capable of releasing great music, and for the most part he usually does. It's not that our heads are so far up Eminem's ass, it's not such a bad thing to be a big fan of Eminem, and still like other artists too. It's like that for me, I listen to ALL kinds of music, it's just Eminem's happens to be my favorite. This is where opinion and taste come into play, which class doesn't have a grasp of yet. He thinks HIS opinions are tastes are the ONLY opinions and tastes, and everything else is wrong. Which it's not like that at all

Incorrect reasoning.

People think I'm the smartest on this forum.

The smartest person is usually right.

Therefore, every thing I say is right.

That is incorrect reasoning. Just because I'm the smartest (assuming I am..), doesn't make every thing I post right.

If you have an uninformed and ignorant opinion than yeah it's wrong. It's like if I only listened to Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Souljia Boy, Lil B and Jeezy. I say that Lil Wayne's the best rapper alive, yeah it's an opinion, but if you are ignorant towards the hundreds of other mcs better than him in just about any regard it holds no weight whatsoever. But hey it's your opinion right?

What Dead Prez said. You could atleast acknowledge the fact that Eminem isn't the best rapper, even if he is your favorite rapper. Eminem is one of my favorite rappers, but I know he isn't anywhere near being the best rapper. He had a shot at it, but he let it slip. Ironic, isn't it?

Yeah, but I don't have an ignorant or uninformed opinion. I listen to all kinds of music, rap artists and rock bands and all that good shit, so it's not like Eminem is all I listen to. To say Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive is an opinion, a terribly misguided opinion, but an opinion that everyone has to learn to accept and respect. Sure, it's a stupid opinion and isn't very valid, but whatever floats their boat I suppose. I, for one, am not ignorant towards MCs better than Eminem. If someone is a better rapper than Eminem, I'll admit it, but it's not ALL about lyrics for me because that's a very one-dimensional view. I love Eminem's music because I feel something, and good music is supposed to make you feel something. So, Eminem succeeds in that area, for me. Eminem's versatility is what makes him the GOAT for me

You might not agree with me, and that's okay, but I'm not as stupid and clueless as you think me to be. I can back my opinions up rationally

Eminem definitely had that certain appeal when he was in his prime. He made people relate to his music, which is a very strong asset; making people relate to your work, not a lot of emcees can do that. But that skill has vanished, I can't relate to Eminem's music anymore. His music doesn't make me feel like he understands me, nowadays. Eminem grew up, became too comfortable, and doesn't have that certain appeal anymore, imo.. He lost ''it'' if you would like to put it that way.

Well, to each his own. To be honest, I still feel it. I felt it when I heard 25 To Life, I felt it when I heard Beautiful (I didn't connect with Relapse at all, even though I love it). Eminem's music means different things to different people, it just happens to mean a lot to me. It's fine if no one agrees, but I don't enjoy being called ignorant for stating my opinion, an opinion that a lot of people tend to share with one another

I was speaking in general not to you, but whatever.
I listen to all kinds of music, rap artists and rock bands and all that good shit, so it's not like Eminem is all I listen to.

Where'd you pull rock music from?
To say Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive is an opinion, a terribly misguided opinion, but an opinion that everyone has to learn to accept and respect. Sure, it's a stupid opinion and isn't very valid, but whatever floats their boat I suppose.

I think you're getting favorite vs best mixed up. I love Prodigy and he's in MY personal top three, but am I stupid enough to put him in an objective top 10 mc list. No of course not. You may like an artist for personal reasons, but that doesn't mean they should be put on a pedestal. Kind of why I used to like old wayne and he used to be one of my favorite rappers, because he's one of the first I really listened to, now I know there's a lot more mcs out there better than him in just about everything. Do you understand where I'm gettingat/

I never said you were.

So it's more for personal reasons? But I will admit Eminem is one of the mcs that can combine flow, delivery, lyrics and all that into one package.

I pulled up rock music to show that I listen to other music besides hip hop. I MOSTLY listen to hip hop, though. Lyrics were pulled up because I know people tend to concentrate on lyrics FAR too much and miss the bigger picture, so it was an example I pulled up

You never said I was stupid and clueless, but you implied it earlier
