he can still flow like he used to. it's really condescending when you're claiming that he is unable to because this is really some elementary shit, especially for him. and he has enough records after 2009 that clearly shows that he can still do it.

I find most of the flows from 2002 to be really generic compared to 2009/2013/2014 flows.

Blogs McGooch wrote:Eminem can come pretty close to rapping like he did 1999-2002 but it's not exactly the same. Like others have said, he had to relearn how to rap and regain his motor skills. Anyone with half a brain can realize that that means he had to start from scratch thus it's completely understandable that he raps differently in sobriety.

even if he raps like he did from 99-02 , his voice is so much deeper now.

imo his 02 voice was perfect

There's no doubt he's a different rapper and performer now. But you have to give the man some credit when you compare his output during the drug years to now. If you compare his performance now to the Relapse era they are miles apart too, in a good way. He had done well to come back from all that.

He will always come off unfavourably when you compare his performance to the early days - he was a young man and drugged up and in a totally different mind state.

If you were to predict 10 years ago where eminem would be now as an artist, you'd probably say he would be dead. I can fuck with almost everything he's put out since the comeback so I'm happy with that.

On topic, lose yourself is his greatest song and anyone saying it's poppy trash is being deliberately controversial.

He doesnt try to imitate his old self...lol. He is trying to reinvent his style. He rapped about "take it back to straight hip hop" so he had to sound like he did but also more fresh. Thats why his voice may sound akward. I agree to an extend: He doesnt flow like he used to...but idk why. I mean, i look at Rap God - Brainless and i am immediately proven wrong. :confusion: :confusion:
