That's an interesting point, never really thought about it. But now that you mention it, it probably did. Probably end of '02 after TES & 8 mile, though. It was probably slow and gradual, though. Probably didn't effect him at first but as time went by his material and actions just started deteriorating to the point where he started making shit like Big Weenie & My 1st Single. A good portion of his 2003 work is dope, so it must have really hit him hard near the end of 03 coming to 04.

To anyone who dislikes this thread, all I'm trying to do is pinpoint when exactly Eminem became an awful rapper. If you don't like that, go fuck yourself. :D

Here's another interview from 2002 (TES promo) when Eminem was acting all goofy and lame. He had completely changed by this time period.

Wheres the intreview?

When did he write When I'm Gone?

I'd say that's a great song.

I'd say after TES, after what he wrote for the 8 mile soundtrack, and after his work on obie's album cause his shit was dope as hell there. Tho I def remember having the song "we all die one day" at least a year and a half, maybe 2 years before it appeared on obie's album Cheers, so who knows when he did the features for that album.

i'd have to agree, tho I feel the pills or whatever actually affecting his material was more summer-time of 03, since his work on GRODT was also dope.

Remember tho, we do have the we as americans, love you more, and bully to pin-point as well since we would probably agree they were dope tracks also. I think the best bet is to say he was doing pills and whatever in 02 at least, it may have started to affect him only a bit where he still did some dope songs/features, but didn't totally fuck him up till he started with encore.

Good thread :y:

Cheers is exactly where to start to look for shitty Eminem verses, Two Choruses and two shitty verses on 'Lady' ... 'die one day' was meh. and Outro ... "I love being hated .. it's great-ed" :facepalm

Thought he meant grated...Like grated cheese being used up?
For being hated all the time it's just rubbed into him?
Smart metaphor imo.

Nah he didn't. 2002 was marshall at his best so everything he wrote was FIRE . Exept a few songs.

Encore must been late 2003 to 2004 .

And on (wikipedia LOLZ) it says:

Eminem stated that around the time Encore was being made he became addicted to prescription drugs in the song Talkin' to Myself on his album Recovery.

I don't agree with this thread at all. Sure, Eminem did some pretty wack songs when he was on drugs, but I just can't agree that he's declining. I think he's still on top of his game. Eminem got 10 Grammy nominations this year. His album Recovery was the 2nd best selling album of the year. What more can you ask him to do?
