Just because she didn't "abandon" him like his father did (I'll get to that), doesn't mean she's deserving of respect. I had a mother similar to his. She kept us alive, but as soon as she found drugs again, or a new man, we were left essentially abandoned. Unwashed, uncombed, unfed and alone. It takes a toll. It did on me and I'm sure it did on him, too. If she didn't wanna be told on, she should've been a better parent. Don't matter that she gave him a car. Mine did, too, to try and make up for the past. And doesn't matter that his father left and she stayed. She didn't take care. It's partially her story and understand her wanting to keep it private, but it's his story, too, and he has a right to tell it.

I do think it's very sad that he doesn't talk to his mom or that his daughter doesn't have another grandma. it's a very sad situation but em is a grown man and it's his choice.. and it's no one's business but his own. obviously she did bad because he doesn't talk to her anymore. He does hold really bad grudges though. like he stopped talking to his aunt betty and them and i think he still doesn't talk to them but maybe being sober will help him realize there are more important things in life then grudging over the past. but thats for him to decide. There's a reason he cut her out his life and only he can make the decision if he wants to forgive her.

Yeah, it's impossible to say. It's stupid that he still tells the crowd to chant stuff about his mom, but she seems pretty messed up. I mean, defending herself in a book or whatever made some sense (it's obvious from what was written that she sees herself as never being at fault for anything), but the lawsuits and the CD were nuts.
