And why would he reject money from his millionaire "friends" when he set up a website to recieve donations from fans? He was obviously desperate.

Where did you get "best friend" from? Em said he was happy they were friends. I mean, he didn't say they used to hang out every single day. I have a lot of friends, but very few I would pay medical bills for. Nahimean?

And as I said earlier, we don't even know what Nate's been saying to people.

This isn't specifically about Em, I said that, stop focusing on that like an ignorant defensive Stan. I merely said Em's name because of the OP. Snoop has said him and Nate were best friends. And I also have lots of friends who aren't as close, but if I was absolutely loaded with dough, like Em, Snoop, Dre and all them are, I'd for sure drop a few mill to help a friend. A million to them is absolutely nothing.

Proof was his best friend...just sayin'.

And his support by the fans is just...the support of the fans :facepalm

Apparently not. He obviously should have, he was huge, but people squander their money every day. He obviously should have managed his finances better, but that doesn't mean his friends can't help him out with medical bills. You'd be suprised how many "rich" celebrities are really broke. A ridiculous percentage of once-rich pro athletes are broke, and it is a very similar culture. People are even speculating that Charlie Sheen is brke, and he was the highest paid TV actor. Stuff like child support and medical bills can REALLY destroy you.

And I don't believe he would ask for donations from fans if he didn't need it, that'd be straight up scummy. Use common sense.

@FreeSpeech

You don't know the facts, but you judge people like an inflexible God.

What comes around goes around...

P.S. Before november 2010 is possible that Nate friends didn't know about his economical problems.
He was a proud man.

I like how Em started shouting "Nate Dogg... C'mon say Nate Dogg" when he performed Till I Collapse at last year's concert. Hopefully Nate got to hear that.

Actually, I think I misread your post, tbh...I thought you said that Snoop said Em and Nate were best friends, but I reread it and I realize that you were saying Snoop said him (Snoop) and Nate were best friends...correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I might have misinterpreted what you said. :zipped:

No, I can just look at the facts and say something's not right...

Yes it's very possible his firends didn't know, but they obviously would after he took it public and asked for help. Therefore, he shouldn't have had to ask for any donations once the news got out, but he did. I'm not pointing fingers at specific people, I'm just using examples. For all I know, Em's broke too, but I really doubt all his friends couldn't have chipped in enough. It's just a shame.

Em is the only rapper who gave Nate shoutouts when he was doing shows. Who other did?
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

@FreeSpeech, without knowing the facts you really can't comment. Maybe rappers did give him donations but he was like "hey don't give me too much, just a little would be fantastic, thanks". It's kinda sad that you're turning this into a bitter story when you actually know nothing about the situation. Give me some proof that these rappers neglected Nate when he was ill or I will not take what you're saying seriously. And by proof I don't mean the cheap cop out of "if these rappers woulda donated to him then he wouldnt have been asking the fans for help" because this is an assumption and as I said, maybe he insisted that people don't spend too much on him.

@FreeSpeech, I'm confused

I know that the news about his financial problems emerged when Warren G Asked fans to donate for Nate Dogg's medical bills in november 2010. I didn't know he made another appeal for donations.
Source? I can't find any article about that :(

I agree, i don't want to start a fight, the focus should be on the positives and remembering him.

To me, it just seems like asking fans for money would be a last resort...

I wrote that, he quoted me weird...
I was saying I can't judge a specific person for not donating (though I'm sure Em's loaded) because you never know how much they really have, but all NAte's friends together should have been able to pay his bills.
