I find the good in tons of things Eminem does. :confusion:

Yeah, the old Eminem who is treated like a God, undeservingly.

Undeservedly? I don't agree.

The fact of the matter is that, old Eminem wasn't the invincible, flawless emcee he's made out to be at times. Yeah, he was the best rapper of all time but it's not like the new Eminem is far behind or is absolutely nothing compared to his old self. It's like, members here praise, over-analyze and give too much credit to some old Eminem lines while that same action would be frowned upon if applied to the new Eminem.

Even though, old Em was better and I recognize him as the best to ever do it. He wasn't the a Hip Hop God.

Yes he is. Everything that made the old Em great is rarely ever seen in the new Em. He changed his style up so much even when he tries to return to his old style he usually fails.

I didn't mean in it style, I meant in quality.

They're related though

His old style brought great quality music
His new style brings bad/decent quality music

No. His new style brings bad/great quality music. Great music being Going Through Changes, Deja Vu, Stay Wide Awake, The Warning, On Fire, Music Box, The Reunion, Welcome 2 Hell (I know you don't like it but everyone else does), Buffallo Bill & Cold Wind Blows.

There's a little more but I'm not gonna list everything. One of the main difference between old Em and new Em is that new Eminem has a tendency of making a few bad songs and that old era Eminem had better "great songs".

Welcome 2 Hell > Going Through Changes (I was never impressed by this song & don't have the smallest clue as to why everyone else is) whereas I still like Welcome 2 Hell but if i'm asked to review it I have to bring up the horrible punchlines in it. Also the only song he's made since 2004 on par with his old shit is Music Box.
And yes i'm aware this is all subjective.

Going Through Changes is one of his most genuine and heartfelt songs ever. Period. That 4th verse is something special. I consider it on-par with most of TES (the verse). I think, the song is a slightly improved version of Deja Vu which was an amazing song already. I know you don't like that emotionalz bullshit but that's really where Eminem shines. The only thing, I would ask for in GTC is an Eminem hook because I wasn't feeling that Black Sabbath sample and Em's part on hook is great. Great rhyming, heartfelt emotion, simple and effective beat. Best song since No Apologies.

I consider the songs I listed on par or in the same league with some of his old stuff (remember we're not comparing these songs to Lose Yourself or Sing For The Moment) but bleh. I actually didn't do that list subjectively. Those songs are generally considered "great" and the best ones from new Eminem.

Master Chief speaks the truth. Some of the Tracks on SSLP and MMLP (Cum on Everybody, My Name Is) are "ignored" when reviewing his older work but people do not hesitate to point out Bagpies from Baghdad and Crack a Bottle.

New Eminem is the one since Relapse and from whichever way you look at it he does make bad/decent/great music. Problem is, when you Compare with Stan/Lose Yourself there is no way he'd catch up.

Difference is both My Name Is & Cum On Everybody are great songs full of the witty Eminem I became a fan of. Cum On Everybody is so fucking under appreciated.
