@Leila: Yes I did actually, I own Bionic lol . And I do not mind her using it whatsoever I just find it ironic that she was so against it then changed her mind once her new album rolled out. And when she was questioned about it she went and said that it "adds to her music". That is the main reason artists use it in the first place And I am pretty sure everyone that does or slightly uses autotune are against those who abuse the autotune to enhance non existent vocals. I just found it ironic that is all she always tends to not stick to her word . I also find it ironic that after over 10 years of being in the music industry she has been opposed to working with Max Martin and now all of a sudden she has a change of heart

there are a loooot of things in this post that u state as facts....i dont follow her as a true stan like u but i would looove u to lead me to the interview where she says she was ALWAYS against working with max martin. she usually never works with the hot producer of the moment (since Stripped am i right?) but now that she is working with max martin (which is not really confirmed by her label or her as far as i know....i mean arent u basing ur facts on rumours?) u r calling her a hypocrite...she needs a hit, her career is on the downfall, thats simple, im pretty sure her label isnt happy about how she is managing her career (releasing an album every 4 years come on now who in the pop mainstream industry does that?its like suicide...) i wouldnt be surprised if the label was the one who gave her that max martin song like they did with not myself tonight, prima donna and desnudate, i've seen an interview of ladytron (im huuuuuuge fan of this group, their last album "gravity the seducer" is amazing, christina worked with them on bionic) and they said the label made christina change her vision of the album because it wasnt enough mainstream...meh....i dont think she has the absolute control on her work like almost every mainstream artists imo and... i personely think in the mainstream industry autotune is NOT used in a creative way, take rihanna for example, strangely she can hit plenty of notes in studio, but she is HOOOORRRIBLE when she sings live, isnt it weird, and she is not the only pop artist, same for bieber or katy perry....of course thats my opinion but i think autotune has nothing to do with creativity in the mainstream industry of course.....its so overused.

It is fine, your english is fine, I understood every word. But it seems like you are aware of your stuff as well. Bionic did tank the reason being because of the change of her image and music direction due to the record labels wishes. That is where the whole Gaga comparisons play in, and due to that she literally almost went through "career suicide". So it makes sense that they want to go the safe route

Moves Like Jagger is doing amazing on the charts and she is in dying need of a solo hit so who best than to go to Max Martin, am i right? It is just like you said she has always been against going to "hot producers of the moment" because she likes to be unique. Max has been making iconic pop songs for pop titans in the recording industry and she has not once went for him for a song. There is obviously a reason why yes but it strikes me as odd that she all of a sudden give in to work with him because Christina is known to be a stubborn girl, it smells like desperation to me if anything. They probably saw the success of Spears's singles which were mostly produced by Luke and Max and want to follow on with that. Her single and album seem to be being released around the same time as Spears's last album as well. And, Max has been confirmed to be the producer by Kiss Fm's program director. Kiss FM is a large radio station in the States and new singles are usually sent to them for feedback and such.

Stripped was her at her prime, she controlled what she wanted on that album and it turned out to be her most critically acclaimed album but that was a time where her career was stable. As of now it is make it or break it, the media feeds on bringing her down. She needs to clean up her act and get into shape. Her image thrives on sex appeal and when she is that size it is not going to be very pretty especially if her next song is about fucking her body and sex.

As for autotune there are plenty of cases where autotune is used to increase creative value of song. The majority may abuse it but there is still a small percentage that use it effectively. Rihanna and Katty barely use autotune they layer their vocals which is very common. And if autotune has nothing to do with adding elements to a song to make it sound better, hy do you think Christina used it. It could not have been because she cannot sing because we all know she can

Do I think Christina is a hypocrite, yes. For this reason alone? No. She has a history of contradicting herself and this just adds on to it I guess.

Sorry to join in on this Christina discussion, but I don't think the reason Bionic didn't do well was anything to do with Lady Gaga. In 2010, everybody was being accused of copying Lady Gaga (which was stupid, since it was the other way around 99% of the time, Lady Gaga was copying everyone else), and other artists survived.

Plus, Not Myself was a rip-off of The Way I Are by Timbaland, My Love/Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake, Forever by Chris Brown and Yeah! by Usher. People say it ripped off Bad Romance and Telephone, but it didn't, it's Bad Romance and Telephone that ripped off Timbaland (Telephone has exactly the same percussion pattern as The Way I Are, for example).

I think Perez Hilton is mainly the one to blame, since he was the person that started the Christina hate campaign. He just wanted something controversial to do. He's such an idiot.

I'm excited for Christina's next album again. She's working with loads of great producers, like DJ Premier again. His beats are always dope.
