"Rap-wise, MMLP is better..... BUUUUUUUUUT College Dropout is musically better!"

Anyway, I like both albums. I like MMLP a helluva lot more.

Not even worthy of a serious debate.

The Marshall Mathers LP towers above any Kanye album in terms of importance or, in terms of artistic merit. And I'm a big Kanye fan. But 'MMLP' is something else.

I haven't read all posts but I think most people are talking "rap wise" and if so, Kanye is not near the top. FACT. Good music, yeah, no doubt. But good rapper? Naah.

Oh, ok, back to topic... The Marshall Mathers LP.
Let me put it this way...Eminem on The Marshall Mathers LP raps better than anyone, ever.
I don't know why people try to dispute this. It's a motherfucking fact.
EDIT: I forgot to give Kanye props for The College Dropout(I'm listening to it right now). Musically it's a very warm album. Lyrically, ahhhh by MY standards below average, but it doesn't even matter. It's already a classic for doing what it did. Making it hella hard for lyricall rappers(like, Beanie Sigel first because he was in Rocafella, and guys like Slaughterhouse these days) to get mainstream recognition because the whole banging beat-simple lyrics but still being praised by people and critics started here.
So just because of that, even without him incredible beats, he is a legend.

Who's hating on him :confusion:

You'll see I said I'm a fan of Kanye... I think Kanye is incredible. And most people here I've seen have given The College Dropout props or not said something negative.

It's not 'hating on Kanye' to say 'MMLP' is better. You agree and said it too.
