I would actually like to know the age of OP. Most of the time, people who say things like this are 15 year olds who listen to rap that's "underground", "real", "raw", etc. and dislike everything about the mainstream just because they think they're cool for doing so.

I really don't like Immortal Technique. I think he's full of shit and he doesn't even know what he's talking about as well. He's a prime example of who people like just because he's underground and refuses to "go mainstream".

That being said, Dance With The Devil was such an amazing song.

Haha that's a good point. A lot of what he says just seems to be too pretentious and annoying. There's some truth to what he says about the government, but it's obviously exaggerated just for entertainment purposes. And I agree, Dance with the Devil is the only song of his that I listen to more than once without getting bored. WORD! I honestly don't like his music at all, it doesn't appeal to me. So why the hell is it that whenever I say this, and I'm like "in MY opinion", Hip Hop heads take it as a diss, that I'm disrespecting him, and that I don't 'know' Hip Hop because I don't listen to him? That's like saying "If you don't like Kobe Bryant, you're not a basketball fan." I don't get it. Why should my opinion get so many people angry? Then I realize something... if they get mad over stupid shit like that, then they clearly care what I think. Another twisted form of flattery, I guess.

Hahaha. It's true though! It pisses me off, man. So because I have a different taste than someone else, I don't KNOW a music genre? 99% of the people who say this are either Illuminati believers, Hip Hop heads that listen to nothing but Immortal Technique and Jedi Mind Tricks, or young kids that think they know everything.

And yet... how ironic is it that the rappers that have been in the game for so long and are revered like Dre, Ice Cube, Tech N9ne, Nas, Eminem, Jay-Z and others never say shit like that. I mean for fuck's sake, Eminem listens to so much Hip Hop, AND a fan of Lil Wayne. The entire premise of Hip Hop being "Dead" is due to the fact that many Hip Hop fans can't accept the fact that we're in 2012 and Synthesizers are used more frequently, and the general public want the different things.

What I don't like, is how everyone who listens to the underground seems to know EVERYTHING about the entire genre, from The Sugarhill Gang to now, and have some huge ego about it.
