This is the biggest BS i've heard so far. You can't judge just because you've heard a few collabs :facepalm and even if it happens to be a funny/shady album it still doesn't mean that it will be shit. Trimss just because you expected too much from numb doesn't mean that Em fell off, who knows, this and my life could very well be the last songs forever if the world ends 12/21/12 so you should just enjoy that you got an Em verse :)

It means he grew up, got over it. Everyone changes. I've said I was going to do things, be things, that I haven't done or accomplished yet.

Before Recovery, his last collabs were all about being back in the game, and song with deep content. Right now, 80% of his collabs are silly tracks. We'll see though, but I'm pretty sure it'll be like that.

Depending on the production, this next album might be the best sounding one yet.

It means he's a pop star.

Not just any pop stars though.

I'm not defending this song, of course, but that's an important distinction to make. The music that was coming out back then was so squeaky fucking clean and fake that it makes Rihanna and Bruno Mars look like death metal. He wasn't distinguishing himself from mainstream or pop music in general, he was distinguishing himself from what was mainstream and pop at the time.

Again, not saying anything about the collabs themselves. It's just that this sentiment comes up so much, and I really feel like it's missing the point of why he felt the need to distance himself from pop and the mainstream at the time. You would never have a pop star allow a verse like this on their album back then, and not due to the quality. The content would have been too edgy and offensive, and by today's standards it's obviously pretty tame.

You've let your emotions cloud your judgment again.

Defend your statement. How did you come to that conclusion?

Because if you were a child, that's kind of funny and understandable. If this was just a few years ago, I'm not sure you should be throwing stones at anyone...at all. Ever.

You're thinking of N*Sink (I forgot how to spell it lmao) specifically. Britney, Xtina, Pink, No Doub, etc were all around back then, doing song like lady marmalade and shit.

He dissed the worst of them, N-Sync, BSB, Britney Spears, and Christina.

He differentiated himself from them by alienating anyone who listened to them. Pink and No Doubt had a little different thing going on, IMO.

You do realize Britney Spears and the Backstreet boys did not write any of their songs lol?

I don't think Britney Spears > Nicki Minaj is that ridiculous of a statement though
