I think your argument is wrong but with right facts.

Yes, I do agree 100% that Kanye's album is times better than Recovery. But I dont think Kanye West is a more popular rapper than Eminem.

RiseFromTheAshez wrote:the hell is wrong with you, I never called 50 cent a good lyricist, his music is dope as fuck and much better than kanye's

What makes it better though? He's an average lyricist, doesn't experiment with song arrangements.. I mean, I guess his hooks and beats are (or were) good but is that enough to make his music "dope as fuck"? how is that different from Rick Ross?

RiseFromTheAshez wrote:and what do you mean kanye is creative, he is so uncreative he cant make a beat without sampling, and there's nothing wrong with sampling my favorite producers sample, but damn he could atleast make his own drum loops but nope he has to sample those too.

So there's nothing wrong with sampling but it somehow makes Kanye uncreative? He does produce full beats a lot actually, I believe the song you posted below doesn't have any samples. And the way Kanye samples is actually extremely creative, he basically takes something from a song and changes is drastically, making it sound much better than it did before while mixing it together with an already capable beat.

He also experiments heavily with song structures and things like that.

RiseFromTheAshez wrote:And I bet you think he's also a good singer lmao.

He isn't a great singer, no. He can hold a note though and that song is great.

That awkward moment when Hybrid Theory is the best selling debut album with 24 million, call me kanye achieves that and dude why do you bring up linkin park everytime you talk to me? what does that have to do with eminem vs kanye? :shakehead:

Call me when Linkin Park has 18 Grammy's and a 94 on Metacritic nigga

Amadeo wrote:Eminem is the most popular rapper in the world, and more popular than Kanye. Get over it.

This.

And who said that Recovery ruled 2010? Plus, I live in Bosnia. I almost never talk to my parents about rap, they're not really into music in general. They know very well who Eminem is. They have no fuckin idea who Kanye, Wayne or Jay-Z are. As Amadeo said, Eminem IS the most popular rapper in the world, whether you think of him as the best or not. What a pointless thread.

I've listened to Premier before m8, I'm sure everyone here has and he's a fantastic producer, just like Kanye.

Ya you did

1) Nah bro I'm pretty sure you can't articulate why other than "because he's better and on Shady herder"

2) So is 50 brah. Explain the difference? They're both average rappers that at times have stand out verses, neither of them are particularly creative.

3) rly m8? He can hold a note, I don't think he's claiming to be Aretha Franklin. He used effects and sang on 808s to create an atmosphere for the album. o and if he's a bad singer so is eminem

4) Actually you changed the subject. I was talking about critical acclaim and you brought up sales.

Blu made a terrible and stupid thread, got his argument demolished and then never posted in the thread again.

I would have NEVER seen this coming

Also Rise, "50 Cent is better because Rick Ross is garbage."

Great reasoning lmao

This thread proves that in the future, when religion is no more, difference in music opinion will be the main cause of war. :coffee:

they're both top 10

ya I've heard grodt, enjoyable listen. I wouldn't say it's a classic and it wouldn't be half as good without Dre lol. He isn't a very good rapper or artist is what I've been saying and I don't see how you can bash Kanye (or Rick Ross for that matter) and praise 50 Cent lol.

Eminem can harmonize pretty well. He's a pretty shitty singer though, at least with his new deep/scratchy voice.

Just to make a point I guess.
