Thats exactly what that line is, hes saying he's so close to reaching his goals that he can just pole-vault himself over the goalpost, which is a reference to football. I really dont get why some lines are so hard for people to understand.

He understands the "punch" bigray, he just doesn't like the way he delivers it.

And I completely agree with menzo here. I've been on here saying that Recovery was disappointing b/c he made his corny punchlines the focal point of his verses. The two or three "punchlines" in this song were used perfectly, to emphasize a point, and were not made to be a focal point of the verse.

Liking the lines is completely subjective...if you don't like them that's fine, but don't compare them to recovery (I can't stand a lot of recovery) when they're not even close to in the same boat as recovery.

The goal post line is just whatever to me, I just don't like how it pauses afterwards. Also I think the chorus is only okay, great song overall though.

Like I've said many times, I like the song but everyone must say he sounds a lot like on Recovery, why he still using the same screaming? I start thinking he can't do anything else but screaming, where's his creativity?

Survival sound to Recovery-sh. Man I didn't even put it out on facebook cuz I know all of my friends will hate it. Em need to get rid of this type of songs for his new album. We need someting new and fresh!
Not wait three year and get a track that could have been a leftover from Recovery

Shit Can Happen had an energetic delivery too. Notice the difference? You guys are completely ignoring the execution of his delivery. It's good at some points of the song but overall it's just all over the place and annoying at times.

I don't hear anything annoying in this song. Recovery annoyed me in some places, but this song is badass and the execution of his delivery fit the song perfectly. To get a song of this quality out of nowhere, and for it not to be on the album (maybe a bonus track), we ALL should be excited. Is this a top 10 em song? No. Its not. But its definitely a great song. Anything in the mold of Til I Collapse is ok by me, and it's way better than two of his other anthems...Cinderella Man and Won't Back Down.

I don't know why people wouldn't be going crazy over this song honestly.

I've always maintained the stance that if he had mixed Relapse-style production with Recovery themes and some next-level creativity, it would've been amazing. 8th album could very well be that, never know.

I don't get why people are complaining about his shouting, it hasn't bothered me one single bit. Also people didn't moan about the shouting in kim only recovery and newer material.
