I kinda like that he's confronting the elephant in the room...

It feels risky and exciting... a sequel or any #2 title is usually lame to me... didn't even like the sound of Relapse 2... but just due to what MMLP is... and at this stage? And after having 3 lukewarm albums, knowing everything he does gets compared to it... feels like risky / ballsy shit.

Maybe he just thought 'fuck it, can't escape the comparison, so leme associate and try top it''...

An actual attempt to duplicate the sound or concepts would be corny to me, but the fact he's giving it its own sound but associating it... this could be interesting.

What'd be fucking weird is if he doesn't pull it off though. As, doing something THIS fucking risky... I just assume that he'll achieve it... but imagine the album gets like 5/6 out of 10 ratings and 'meh' reactions from fans... he already got that from Recovery after saying he put everything he had in to it... and just failing AGAIN but also with THIS... fucking MMLP2?... wow, how would he handle that.

Biggest risk of his career.

Especially because this is the tipping point after 3 widely regarded classics followed by 3 albums with a mixed reception (to put it mildly). Anything but a classic tips him in the wrong direction.

In this ultra critical climate, to name it that adds even more pressure. He must be pretty fucking confident.
