MMLP To Ship 1.1 Million Copies 1st Week

Everybody saying it will do even better because of SNL, YouTube Awards, COD, The Monster, etc. should realize that the people forming these expectations also know about that stuff; you guys are acting like you have inside information lol. I think MMLP2 will surpass expectations just because they're being conservative, but only by 100k or so.

It will probably do over 300k digitally. So it could do a million first week. I would agree if there was no digital then no chance he sells a million if they are only shipping 1.1 million. But with Digital it's still possible.

I don't know. Berzerk and Survival got lukewarm reactions. I think they gained a second wind on the charts once Rap God dropped and gave his album a little push. He's gonna sell the bulk of this record on fan loyalty alone.

Although they're gonna start picking up the promotion very soon so who knows.

I think he does around 750-800k first week. Anything more I'd be surprised.

The latest issue of Billboard magazine has reports that the label is shipping 1.1 million CDs for the first week launch on November 5th. And there current estimate is 750,000k units - including digital sales.

Why is everyone considering Rihanna as such a major selling point. How much does her albums sell in the first place?

Not sure how much they sell but it does advertise Eminem and the album to a genre and demographic that Eminem's music is not aimed at.

Em ships platinum in one day, that's a lot of albums, two week leak is unavoidable with an artist like Eminem

The Monster (the official 2nd single) - Oct 28th
SNL - Nov 2nd
YouTube Awards - Nov 5th

These will definitely boost his sales + we don't know how many people will purchase it through CoD so we seriously know nothing other than he's gonna open with good numbers.

How long have the "youtube awards" been around? I had never heard of them until repeatedly reading about them on this board. Is it televised or strictly viewed online?
