Yeah, maybe. I'm doubtful given that he's up against songs that ended up being much more popular. The Grammy voters love Em though.

Gutted rap god wasn't or could not be nominated. His best performance and the most confident he had looked in years he had me on the edge of my seat when watching ytma took me back 10 years or so felt like an excited teenager again lol Epic. Can't c berzerk winning but I do hope so cause the rest of the nominee's in my eyes r bollocks except Kdot

He will perform obviously, but he will not win.

I also think the nomination was a bit absurd, Berzerk doesn't deserve this nomination. However, for next year I do expect MMLP2 and Rap God to be nominated

Its things like Berzerk being nominated that makes Eminem's grammy wins feel..... Less significant. And not just Berzerk, Crack a Bottle winning and Encore being nominated too!!!

Look, Eminem is allowed to make good songs without shifting the culture. Why not give the slot to more deserving songs? Surely no-one here truly believes Berzerk was a "Top 5 rap performance" in 2013?

Well, i hated Started from the bottom to begin with and i think Jay being nominated is a slap in the face to anyone who tries to actually make good music, but my point is this.... Why can't they look deeper if the mainstream does not deliver? Pusha T Numbers on the board has been making waves, wouldn't mind that. 1 Train is beautiful, wouldn't mind that. Lupe had some interesting records

They nominated Now or Never for fucking Rap/sung collaboration! They can be creative about the choices if they choose to.

As an Eminem fan, i want him to win. But i would love it if he won deservedly so that i can truly celebrate with the world.

Well, thats the point exactly!! Lol they are turning into a fucking Vma by nominating "bigger names and bigger records". Look at Katy Perry being nominated for Roar as a Record of the year (which looks at fucking songwriting)

the problem with that is you do increase your revenue but lose all sense of pride in what you do, Honour good music. For example, not a single musician or art lover benefited from anything the EMAs had to offer. Bland to the highest order. They still got Miley Cyrus to twerk and teens to tweet

Notice how Berzerk is up for Best Rap Performance and not for Best Rap Song

We're not talking live, that's not the case

First of all, I don't know how the Grammy's treat those categories and how they pick songs for them, I'm just talking about what I think it's the difference between these two awards. Now let's go

When it comes to Rap Performance, it's all about the different aproaches the artist gave to the song
I mean, I'm trying to think of an non special Em song, but it seems that they are none, so I'mma use Power Trip as an example. As much of a good song that is, (and what I'm bout to say is no way a diss to the track) J. Cole didn't have to put much of an effort on his vocal on it, since what's powerful is the message behing the track and all that stuff. It's kind of a relaxed flow. The song didn't requested much, and he killed it just the way it is.

On Berzerk, on the other hand, Em added a ton of flows and levels to the same song and I don't need to list them here, since we all know that song very well around here. All three verses sound different to each other, not to mention the hook.

So, basicaly, in my point of view, things like vocal range, not-the-same-throughout-the-track-flows and the approach to the song are the key to this category.

Let me see if I can make it clear with this example:

Legacy wouldn't get nominated in this category. Rap God sure would. Same thing with The Monster/Love Game.

GKMC example: Kendrick seems laid back on The Art of Peer Pressure. He just wants to get the message of the song across and didn't had to eat the instrumental in order to do it, unlike Backseat Freestyle, which the beat gets absolutelly obliterated by him.
