you can't compare the two,
wayne was singing,
em was rapping,
wayne was mellow
em has aggresive
but how many rappers can make a rock record and album like reibrth? no one.
I'd say you're right. I usually don't agree with your interpretation of what's up, but Wayne was doing his thing on this track. I didn't feel it, but he was doing his thing. I don't really like the southern accent though either, but that's not Wayne's fault. Wayne wasn't really singing though, to be honest.
The only thing I disagree with is the bolded line. Cypress Hill did it. Critical Bill did it. Beastie Boys did it. Tech N9Ne has done it on several tracks. Plenty of rap acts have done it, and did it better than Wayne.
I'm not hating though--I really think it's great Wayne is doing Rebirth. Seriously, I do. All of the Rock hate is stupid, why try to hate on a rapper for experimenting with the instrumental production of the album. If it weren't for Auto-Tune, I'd honestly probably buy Rebirth just so I would have something different to listen to. And anyone can quote me on that, even though I don't like Wayne...at all, really.
Drop The World was hot, and like you said, there isn't really any comparison in Em and Wayne's style, even on this track that they did together.
*Interested to see how the Em x Wayne Relapse track will turn out*
