I disagree. Yeah the official lyric is "faggot" but Em CLEARLY knew what he was doing. He obviously meant for it to sound interchangeable with "fake it's" purely for button-pushing reasons I'm sure.

Think about it, why do you think he switches accent on the start of that verse on that bit? If he said it in his normal accent then "faggot" wouldn't sound like "fake it's" at all. You have to do it in the accent he does it in, in order for it to work.

Also, the next line doesn't work without it being interchangeable with "fake it's". Because he then continues to say "all these fucking voices in my head..." - That sentence only works in continuation if the second part of "faggot" is believed to also sound like "it". Because in order for it to work, you have to assume it be "fake, it's all these fucking voices in my head"... Otherwise it doesn't work.

So it's half wordplay, half button-pushing. But he obviously did it intentionally otherwise the verse itself wouldn't of even made sense. It's clever and funny. Even funnier that it's so obviously playfully provocative, couldn't be more obvious. And yet they still play into his hands.

It goes "When I call them both FAKE, IT'S ALL THESE FUCKING voices" - the "IT'S" is a pre-cursor to the "all these fucking voices". And I realize he was doing a camp voice but it was also sub-southern.

He obviously purposely made the phrase "fake/it's..." and "faggots" in that accent, interchangeable. Anybody who fails to see that or thinks it's coincidence is a moron.

Yes, because its MUCH more clever to mispronounce a word completely than have it play on two levels like "Fake/It's" and "Faggots".

It's Eminem. If he wanted to rhyme faggot correctly, he would have. And there are news articles from MTV, who actually contact Eminem PR and Interscope, who agree it was "Fake/It's" meant to sound like faggot.

Eminem's lyric books aren't always 100% right too. You guys who just want it to be "Faggot" so badly so you can quote it.
