I disagree. I think he is intelligent by definition.

People assume intelligence = formal qualification. Intelligence just means you have the capacity to comprehend and reason to a high degree. Which he certainly does.

The way he does things like this. Compounds multiple viewpoints about himself or issues into small poetic lines. The way he seamlessly slips in and out of 1st and 3rd person, criticizes himself, ironically, the way he can just flow out effortless zeitgeist lyricism.

No, I agree. For him though, I think he is intelligent with words and everything that goes into what he does, which I mean no one can disagree with. I also agree that he prolly didn't care much or put in effort, but most likely because he did so bad and didn't understand things. I think it more him not applying himself, I believe he could have graduated hs in 4 years.

Well yeah. I think people are just taking cliche' topics and subjects and thinking because he's not knowledgable on them that means he isn't intelligent.

You can see quite clearly, from one line of his lyricism that he's tremendously intelligent.

Anybody that can process ideas and re-create at the level he does is very very intelligent.

Being intelligent is about the way you think. Not just what you happen to know. The way you process information and reason with it. And he's been two steps ahead of society since day one. That's why on immediate impact he was misunderstood, like almost all modern geniuses.

It took society about three years just to catch up with him and agree he was a talented lyricist. At first they could only see the attitude and subversion. Took him winning an Oscar to go "oh okay, yeah maybe". Obviously not the intelligent of society. But the big bell-curve.

Hes a lyrical genious. When it comes to book smarts, not so much. Personally, I have a hard time sitting down for long periods of time and focusing on one task. I think Em is like that too. Its not that hes stupid, he prolly just has a hard time doing something he doesnt enjoy. You can be smart in different ways. Some of the more intelligent people ive come across were at the same time the dumbest, if you know what I mean.

Yea ive heard alot of interviews where he says he skipped, I think I read it in one of his books too. Im sure if he actually sat down and tried to understand the content, he would do fine. I dont think the overwhelming majority of people would fail the ninth grade, for example, if they attended the class and did the work, unless there was something really really wrong with you.

In the WAY he thinks. True intelligence is down to the way you think. The way you process and reason with ideas.

It's not like lyricism is a separate thing from his actual intelligence, he's exercising his intelligence through it. He couldn't of written 90% of his lyrics without being very very intelligent. And again, the way he chooses to word things etc.
