He always raps over a low playback and Alc turns it up when he's out of breath or visibly puts the mic away signaling him to do so.

But he's actually rapping live, it's barely audible when he's actually spitting.

People always just think it's not live because it sounds so perfect. But the reason why is because other MC's write songs quickly and don't put that much care into flows so once they spit it in the booth they forget it and when they perform it next, it sounds random and different.

Where as Em spends weeks perfecting rhymes and crafts the flow as he goes. So by the time he's done with the song in the booth he has a totally calculated forumla for every word he spits on that song, a totally complete flow and performance of it. He's already perfected it obsessively by that point so when he performs it live, it's just another performance of it in the booth.

So of course it'll sound the same.
