^ In my opinion during em's hiatus he wouldn't have won against wayne. Hard to say, but even em said after the death of proof everyone tried to keep him away from media, because he couldn't talk right.
Idk bout everyone else but if you can't talk right how do you even begin to write a rap....

Unlike most stans, I have respect for lil wayne.
Em said he'd be killed if he release it. That's true. As hard as it is to say, in 06 when em was fucked up and hadn't restablized, Wayne was more popular and better. Idk why everyone is trying to defend em when he was terrible during his hiatus. Relapse was him working it out, now he is Recovering...Doesn't anyone get it?
Lil wayne doesnt get respect from people by being wack. Maybe thats hard to understand, but em was at home while this guy was doing what he does. Em got clean and is now on his way to being more popular than wayne.
It just bothers me how everyone trys to shit on wayne when em says he respects him. No doubt em's first 3 albums were better all around than any of wayne's work, but if you can get your name in the same sentence as em don't you think he deserves a lil respect?
Just caz he didnt release a MMLP doesnt mean he's wack. Just accept it, It no longer matters because we should be glad that em is alive at all.

I respect Easy E, biggie, etc but never got into likeing them.

I don't think it's a matter of if they would have murdered Eminem or not. It's just how he felt at the time, at that point in his career. That it would have fucked up his career if he were to go at whoever was big, just for the point of them buzzing at that period of time, cause he was jealous.

Like it seems the majority are taking it. I think he means in a general sense. The fans of all sides, the music industry as a whole, himself, etc.. would of been upset and pissed if he were to diss them for such petty reasons. I don't think he means strictly in a battle/lyrical/skill wise sense.

With that said.. Note the lyrics are in past tense. He used to think that way. He obviously doesn't anymore seeing how he got his self esteem, skill, everything back he was lacking at that point in his career. He's just trying to explain he was in such a shitty space he was ready to go at whoever was big because he wasn't doing shit at that time. Causing him to be jealous for no reason. It's not a matter of who's better or not.
