A great deal of Encore is him falling off lyrically, although you do get glimpses of his true greatness here and there.

According to Talkin' 2 Myself, he "couldn't put together a decent punchline even" at some point during his absence at the height of his drug issues, but I dunno if that counts since he wasn't really putting out music.
