I do think SSLP, MMLP and TES are all classics. Yes, one should not use the word "classic" lightly, but yes, Eminem is that great.

Relapse might be considered a classic in the future, but probably not. Recovery won't.

See, for me personally all 7 are! If I was to make a list of my fave albums of all time, top 10 would be dominated by Eminem. But if the bias stan in me isn't speaking then it's 2.
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

For me, SSLP, MMLP and TES (especially) are all absolute classics.

As for Recovery, I pretty much love it top to bottom and see it as a superb album. I think it's close to being a classic and may go down as one given a few years to set into the consensus.

So yeah, I'd say at least three and four at most.

Two Classics. Slim Shady LP an Marshall Mathers LP. 5/5

Two almost classics that could still end up Classics. The Eminem Show & Recovery. 4.5/5

Relapse. 4/5.

Encore. 3.5/5.

Edit:

Curtain Call is a classic but im not counting that since it's greatest hit's album.
Eminem is the G.O.A.T Rapper.

"Classic" is a stupid term...

SSLP was flawless. MMLP and TES were also great albums, though not quite flawless.

Encore is a minus-8639393/10 album.

Recovery and Relapse are somewhere in the neighborhood of 7/8 / 10.

Lol did you just compare Recovery and Relapse and gave them the same score?

Classic is the correct, legitimate way of rating something of a scale of perfection.

Yes, I did. The sloppy lyricism and corny punchlines are a major flaw on Recovery. Of course, you're a Wayne fan so you probably love that stuff.

And no, nobody other than rap fans ever argues about whether or not an album is a "classic." It's a stupid, made up term that rap fans can't even agree on the definition of. If you can't even agree on the definition then you shouldn't even bother having the discussion.

SSLP, MMLP, TES, and Recovery are all classics.

Someone already mentioned it but when Eminem leaves the game and were left with Soulja Boy bullshit in mainstream music than Relapse could very well be called a classic due to it's crazy lyrics and flow. It's something different too. I doubt it will happen but I do believe there is a small chance.

IMO he has 2 ultimate "Classics"
SSLP and MMLP. Both albums are amazing from start to finish. On TES there are a couple tracks such as drips and say what you say, that are what really pull down the album as a whole. the worst tracks on SSLP and MMLP shit on almost all of TES, obviously encore, and most of relapse. Recovery is a dope album but not all the way through like SSLP and MMLP. just my opinion, but ive had this opinion forever and wont change my mind.

SSLP and MMLP FOR3VER
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it
Spend a million a track and went over my budget

^^^^^^^^^I just feel that the edge and energy that was on SSLP and MMLP is not there with TES. its way more commercial and im a huge fan of his funny, cleaver crazy lyrics that werent there as much on TES. SFTM is a good song but that not my favorite Em. Thats why i dont consider it a classic b/c the album doesnt have the edginess that his first 2 had.
