Notalius has it right, I think.

The speed and cramming of words has just gotten old. Almost everything he's done from H:TS to today has been fast or overly packed with syllables. Just because he's "not Shady" anymore doesn't mean he can't use a normal flow like he used to.

As for Yelawolf, spitting fast has always been his style. That's what people expect.

Big Sean literally just talks over a beat. He has no charisma whatsoever.

I'm the biggest Sean hater there is, I just liked his verse much more

I never said that this has been the problem with MMLP2 though. Ya'll got it twisted. I just feel that the flow on this song is shit and I feel liek he will continue with it.

Got your point Notalius, and I second it.
It's not that big of a deal though, maybe it'll grow on us.

I'm still convinced that any other rapper could have rapped this verse and it would have been better received. Tech raps like this all the time and people call him a master of flow.

I could give less of a fuck about Tech.

Tech's shit is dope after first listen but gets boring after second.

Because that's what he does. And come on, this beat was not made for some overloaded bars

Nah, I know that. But nobody denies his flow skills.

There's no such thing as a beat being made for something. A rapper who's truly creative thinks of crazy shit to do on a beat.

This is a ridiculous argument. So as long as it's expected, it's fine...but if it's something unexpected then it warrants criticism?

And tbh, spitting fast has never really been Yelawolf's style. He has a few songs like that but he doesn't even do it often.

I have nothing against Em rapping fast as long as it's smooth like on rap god or Love Game. But if you stop every 5 seconds, if you change your vocal tone and other shit that makes it kinda choppy, it gets wack, to me atleast.

Maybe "made" was not the good word. Let's say it just feels inappropriate here. For some people at least

Some rappers are expected to rap with that flow all the time, like Tech. If someone usually raps with a normal flow, but occasionally drops a fast verse, then people eat it up (like Em when Forever came out, and stuff like that). But now, Em goes with super-flow all the time, and because he's not considered to be a "fast rapper", like that's not his whole claim to fame, it's getting somewhat old.

That's honestly as stupid as you can get in your reasoning behind not liking his verse. "He's not considered a fast rapper so he can't fast rap all the time"? He can do whatever he can work into the beat.
