Not sure if this has been posted yet... It's from a recent review:

11. Here Comes The Weekend: With Eminem roped in for an appearance you'd be expecting something suitably huge on the hook front. Sadly this one never quites get off the ground. The skittering rhythm and vague hip-hop feel to the production is a nice call back to Pink's early days but it's a little bit middling and even a star turn from Eminem never quite lifts the song into something bigger.

While we wait: Why do people hate on Won't Back Down? I think it was one of the few good songs on Recovery.

Well, I started listening to Eminem back in 99 so that's the Em I like and I have pretty high standards because of that. All Eminems albums are my favorite albums of all time, but I'm a little bit spoiled when it comes to Eminems music so it's pretty easy to judge his albums. I love MMLP, TES, SSLP and Relapse and the other two are far behind those albums for me. So that's why I say like that. So yeah few good (but I still listen to the "bad" ones).

Terrible beat. Average hook. Screaming delivery that doesn't sound very good. Littered with awful punchlines.

Okay, now I understand. Well I don't like the beat that much neither. And the hook is meh but I really like his flow, voice and lyrics on that one. That's why it's one of my favorite songs on Recovery with On Fire, Cold Wind Blows, Seduction, Almost Famous, Going Through Changes and the three bonus tracks. I don't care for other songs that much because of the "poppy" sound and the love themes. Ems verse on No Love is good to though.

There aren't that many "awful" punchlines, there's probably three or four that are stupid/useless, but people exaggerate his punches.

listen garden tool don't make me introduce you to my power tool
you know the fucking drill

Gotta shake that ass like a Donkey with Parkinsons

I'm an uncooked slab of beef
laying on your kitchen floor
otherwords I'm off the meat rack

I'ma shit stain on the underwear of life

shake your booty shawty I'm the shit
why you think Proof used to call me Doody

Cadillac Sevilles, Coupe Devilles
brain dead rims yeah stupid wheels

These are all pretty shitty lines and these aren't all of them. There's nothing good about the lyrics in this song and if Lil Wayne released this you'd be shitting all over it. Awful song.
