I don't know about the birthday, but NWA broke up way before 2001 - Dre released Chronic 2001 that year, so I thought it was supposed to be a reference to the last album he released.

Couldn't have asked for a better film clip. Eminem bringing him back, dre learning to walk again (rap again) I loved all the old footage clips. RIP Eazy-E died too young.
