There's a difference between fact and opinion. You don't like Recovery, which is opinion and it's fine. But to say it sucked? That's not true. It clearly didn't suck, it got mostly praise from most music critics and it's a commercial success. But, you're opinion is so much better than all of ours, so it just "sucks". right?

Your point....makes no sense. You say my opinion isn't fact. That's true. But you are implying that because the majority believes something, that makes it fact. No, it's still opinion. "most music critics" Praise shit that makes my ears bleed. So I don't care, it all is opinion. The album sucks. That is what I hear. I don't like his flow, I don't like most the beats, I don't like what he is talking about. So that means it sucks. Just because it got praise doesn't influence the way it sounds to me. And yeah, it's good compared to lady gaga, or wak flocka or whatever gay shit people are listening to. But so? That's like making a point about something and saying "well, it could be worse" Yeah, a lot of things could be worse, that doesn't mean the current situation doesn't suck.

NO, I'm not saying what the majority thinks makes it fact, it's still opinionated. The BIG point was that it's arrogant as fuck to say something sucks. If you don't like what he's talking about, YOU DON'T LIKE IT, but that doesn't mean it sucks

Learn to get the big picture, rather than just picking small shit like the Recovery comment I made. That's just an example I was using to prove to you that it doesn't "suck", you just simply don't like it :facepalm

Was it really necessary for me to explain that to all of you?

Coming from a longtime fan I can give you a list of things people have bitched about thru em's career:

SSLP - Annoying High Pitched voice, Not enough serious content, Bleach Blonde Hair, Alternative Image
MMLP - Shock Value content, Dissing Pop Stars
TES - Self Produced beats, Emotional songs where he "Cries too much"
ENC - Childish Content, Fake Tough Guy Act
REL - Accents, Recycled Shock Content
REC - Yelling, working with Pop Stars, Corny Punchlines

Nothing dude did was ever good enogh to keep people from bitching, and nothing ever will be, next year when he does summin diffrent, people will crawl out the woodworks to bitch about it and remember "The Good Times when Em put emotion in his Voice" and do their lil "Recovery > New Album" bullshit

In which case I would have to ask why you even bother coming to his fan site then??

And thats not top start no E-Beef, its a serious question

Once Upon a Time I thought DMX was the shit, then his music started to suck to me, which is why I'm not on a DMX message board..............I dont get the concept of staying around to complain about summin if you think its trash, i could easily go to a DMX board and post a topic with the title "Every DMX album since And Then there was X is LAME", but why bother??

I still come around because I still like Eminem. Just because I don't like Recovery doesn't mean anything. He has a lot more material. I like the SSLP, MMLP, Eminem Show, Relapse. And hundreds of freestyles and unreleased/featured songs he has done.

I come around to get new Eminem music. Not that this is the only place, but it's a decent place to look at. It's not like I'm on here all day or night either. I have like what 500 posts since April..

Fair enough, I get that............Alot of cats on here seem to post complaint threads every 5 seconds tho and its kinda annoying, aint nothing wrong with having an opinion but when all you do is spread negativity it makes wonder what the point is

It's all pointless anyways. I might see a interesting thread every 20 threads I read. They are all the same thing anyways. And since my opinion of recovery is negative, i say it a lot, because recovery is brought up. But it doesn't matter what is discussed. Every thread turns into UR OPINION IZ STOOPID CUZ UR STOOPID, OR OMGZ THIS AGAIN :facepalm OR EMINEM SHOULD DO ____ NEXT TIME....

really....i am just creeping for new music and get bored sometimes and post. Not that big a deal.

Want something postive? Make a Relapse thread. And I will say all kinds of nice things. :flutter:

I'd rather not make a relapse thread unless its a "Deja Vu Appreciation" thread, lol

SSLP - it was too perfect in every way
MMLP - The concepts were too creative, and the flow was too precise
TES - Some of the lyrics had rhyme schemes that were too complex and intricate

LMAO!!!!

You living in a fantasy world if you think those were the worldwide reactions to those albums, SMH

Its just the truth man, and for the record some of those complaints I agreed with, I personally hated when he first signed 50 and started doing the Tough Talkin, Gangsta type stuff, didnt suit him at all

But its a fact that dude has drawn some sort of hatred for everything he's done, when the SSLP dropped I was the only "Hip Hop Kid" in my neghborhood who bought it, everybody Else was into Ruff Ryders and said his shit was "Corny White kid rap for Raver kids who pop X" and I got clowned on for it hard, wasnt till The Way I Am dropped my circle came around to him

Those people aren't Eminem fans, though.

OK, there was maybe a SMALL percentage of people who thought he "sold out" with MMLP or TES, as there is with any underground artist once they hit mainstream, but the reaction to the atrocity that was Encore was completely fair. The less intuitive fans knew it sucked but didn't know why...so they just postulated, "hey, maybe I out-grew Eminemz!!!111"

The smarter ones basically gave up on him and wondered what was wrong...because SOMETHING was wrong.
