I'm just having an off day, not really thinking a whole lot about what I say, like I normally do. I usually choose my words a lot better than this, but I just figured it was implied that saying "don't judge so and so" is really kind of a suggestion, even without adding "you shouldn't". But you're right, the correct thing to say would have been "you shouldn't"
