The Most Overrated Eminem Song?

Never listened to Vinnie Paz before, I just checked out "End Of Days". Pretty good, putting ole David Icke in there and talkin about the Bohemian Grove etc.

That album is horrible. Listen to his Jedi Mind Tricks stuff. Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell is his best work.

How is that making it overrated,its not like we`re saying that its better then LY,RB,etc...
I`m just saying that its better then anything from Encore era,Re-up era,most of TES era,etc... which it is.

It's a zeitgeist song. It encapsulates an era, a youth, a generation and does so intelligently, poetically, politically and musically. When other songs do this they usually do it by chance or by... being the peak of a defining genre (punk, rock etc.)...

But, Em did it intentionally. He lyrically summarized the mindset and attitudes of the youth, he wrote what it was like to be the youth, to be the rapper and to be the outsider looking in. But, you then have the actual rhyming, flow, use of the sample etc...

Beyond the lyrical focus, the end result is a breathtaking, timeless song. And it's not overrated, I don't think so. Some songs deserve all the praise they get. I think "Lose Yourself" does and I think "Sing For the Moment" does too.

I was listening to Sing For The Moment the other day and it had never really occurred to me how brilliant the employment of multies are in there. I always appreciated the storytelling side of it but had never really paid attention to how technically good it is too.

Lose Yourself is the best song of all time. It's not overrated just overplayed (not for me but for anyone saying it's overrated).

Anyways, I'd say it's Mockingbird.

I listen to it once every two months maybe, so it's not overplayed for me. Still hella overrated if you ask me.

Lose Yourself is in no way overrated, for a huge mainstream success i'd say it's a damn good song. Perfect content, perfect multis, perfect flow, perfect beat, perfect delivery, perfect hook. There's no possible way to improve the song. It may not be everyones favorite but for the huge mainstream success it is it deserves all the praise it gets.
